We have a show on the National Geographic channel called Locked Up Abroad, which shows mostly Americans/British/Australian so far being locked up in other countries or being held prisoner in other countries.
So i thought of this topic ;D

I only have one, when i went in February to visit my 'online boyfriend' XD

Their customs did not want to let me in because i met him online, and he was 17 while i was 19 XD That made them very uncomfortable, so they made me put his mum's address, their name and all phone numbers they have.

They also escorted me to the waiting area to collect my luggage and meet him, over all it went well, but those pushy people pissed me off.

* Any horror stories?

* Where were you, what happened?

Aw, it's all in the darned airports for me. D;
We were going to South Carolina for my cousin's funeral, so we were taking my 80 year old grandfather who quite obviously needed a wheelchair through bagging, and they randomly selected him for one of those random terrorist prevention bull things. They stood him up first, then decided to make him take off his shoes (which was incredibly difficult even when he was sitting down because he was suffering from advanced stages of Parkinson's), and on top of that, we were already late for our flight. There's definitely something wrong with a country when they suspect a handicapped old man of being a terrorist. But we made the flight, so it was alright.

When I was in Ireland, I ended up leaving one of my DVDs in the hotel DVD player and didn't realize until we were in an entirely different country. It was a nightmare for me because I loved that DVD, but I got it replaced back in the states later, so no harm done. I can just imagine the hotel clerk people discovering it in there and watching it, though. xD;

Aaand, that's about it.
=3

Thats terrible!
I was watching the news and a woman was at a Northwestern airport and their TSA guards attacked her for no reason! And she's suing the company.

I think Airports have the worst employees working there. I live in Atlanta, and Hartsfield-Jackson International is the largest one in the world, and should you pass through it, you're going to find it the worst experience ever. O____x

Thank you for sharing, at least im not the only one who hates air ports >_>

The only horror stories Ive had is at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport. Everytime we go through there, and are travel with AA, we seem to have to wait for 5+ hours for our next flight.

No horror stories for me. I have a bunch of horror stories from other countries though! In Japanese class we're doing a whole unit on ghosts. It's fun. Apparently umbrellas are considered to be ghostlike. You should make a thread with horror stories from other countries, unless of course it's okay to do it in this one.
