Cards strategy/tips *not guaranteed you’d be an expert/rich*

*READS THIS!!!* This is by request of elysium dollhouse. I, Sakura-san890, (alone and no one else) wrote this so my fellow gaians can get strategy/tips on cards. I cannot, repeat; CANNOT GUERINTEE YOU’LL BE RICH/GET BLACKJACKS ALL OF THE TIME!!! So don’t complain to me if you lose to the dealer (Either ace russle, jinx or cardbot) constantly. I cannot stress that last statement enough. I myself am not an expert but I have been playing poker since I was 5 yrs old in real life. From that; I’d like to thank my grandpa for teaching me and my brothers. This is for gaians who want to improve their skills in cards.

1. First things first; since cards is just blackjack (21) Gaia style, it would help if you know the game. I have the basic vocab. below:

• Number cards = whatever numbers on it
• Face cards= 10
• Ace= 11 or 1, whichever helps you more
• Hit = (not in the face!) this hit means to get another card to improve your current hand
• Double down= put double of your tokens/current winnings when you hit. You only get 1 card
• Stand= in cards; this mean your turn is over and you’ll take your chances against the dealer’s hand
• Push= both player and dealer have the same hand, and then it is pushed aside for the next game. The next winner then gets those tokens/winnings
• BLACKJACK! = ^_^ what I tell other plays when I have 21 (usually increases my chances, I don’t know bout anybody else)

Typical games
Here are the usually games I/others get:

*ordinary game sample* Right now my dealer is Cardbot. My current number of tokens is 210, 0 winnings since I just started, and 1958 tickets from previous winnings. I clicked place token (since der I have 0 winnings so I cant use them for playing for now) and deal. Cardbot deals me a 4 and a 5. Since it equals to 9 (I know; its obvious math but please bear w/me). I decided to hit because 9 is too low to play. It deals me a jack (10 so now it 19). This part is tricky @ 1st but you’ll get the hang of it. You want to have the best odds you can get to beat the dealer. Since his/her/its chances of getting a 20 or 21 are low, I’ll stand. Its card that is face up is 8 (so the hidden could be anywhere from 9-19). After I stood, the hidden card is king (10) so its hand is 18. Yays! My 19 beat its 18! *victory dance* anyways; that’s just how it usually works when I play. (Varies for other gaians)

*super lucky, what-are-the-odds game (that I get once in a while)* place token, deal, and o! Look @ that! 21 already! I win! ^_^ this game we all know we wanna get, but sadly it’s only a once in a while thing. T^T

*sucky grrr makes-you-wanna-smash-your-computer games* T^T we don’t like these games, but sadly its part of cards. Its either you deal and hit then the number is too high (above 21); it’s too low and the dealer gets a better number (2-20, ex; you have 20 and the dealer gets 21 =-= grrrrr), or the not so bad push (since there’s a chance you can beat them). For these games; just ride through them. It’s not worth getting mad over. Plus it makes it worth while when you beat them @ the next hand and rub it in their virtual face!

CHEATERS, CHEATERS AND MORE CHEATERS! GRAAAAAH!
What makes this game unique is that any1 can cheat. Both you and the dealer have cheater powers. When the red bar below your health is full, you can press it. Then it gives you two options; either peek @ the dealers cards and see what they have, or make them redraw. T^T sadly you can’t have both so you have to decide which is more helpful. I suggest using redraw when the facing up card is a face or ace card. If its not, I suggest using the peeking cheat then. The problems with redrawing is that it could just draw another face/ace card (grrr) and you just have to play the odds and with peeking is that you do get what their hand is, but it could be a high number (18-21) that makes it seem impossible to beat. My advice for both of those problems is to just take your chances. Now when they cheat, its just redrawing their own hand so they can improve their chances. Luckily for you; this can backfire on them (As in they can go over 21). For that to happen is a 50/50 chance though.

Shortened tips:
• Don’t bet a lot of tokens/winnings (for you could be mad @ yourself if you loose it all!)
• Be patient! For beginners this game takes time to get the hang of.
• Don’t make fun of noobs/people that keep losing. Noobs are people too (we were all noobs once) and the losing people are probably just having a bad/unlucky day.
• Don’t get mad @ me if this didn’t make you rich/an expert. I was doing my best to write this and I am very sorry if none of this helped you.
• For me this makes my games luckier; after I get a blackjack, I say BLACKJACK! To the message line thingy so that other people will know and to help me keep track of my blackjack average. You just can’t say it all the time just for fun, other wise the other players will think you’re annoying. Try to find something that increases your luck
• ALWAYS remember to cash in your winnings when you’re done/out of tokens. I only forgot once and I am still mad bout it. Every winning count.
• If you want to cash in your tickets for a prize/s, try to have the discipline to not spend it until you reach your number goal. If you don’t have a particular prize in mind (like me), you can also sell you tokens/tickets in marketplace or buy a random prize and sell that on the market.
• To get tokens; I usually get it from daily chance or buy them. You can also try to save up from daily chance and play a nice, long game.
• This is the game of chance. Anything goes.
• When having a hand, I suggest only going between 18-21. If you have anywhere between 2-17, keep hitting.
If you had the time/patience to read all of this; I thank you. I hope this will help other gaians when they play. This is all written my me alone; Sakura-san890 from elysium dollhouse’s suggestion.

what do u think?

Very, very good; thank you! 4laugh

This is awesome.

Depending on my two cards, if my dealer has a face card or a 10, I usually imagine the worse; that he has a high number. I find it works quite a bit

Yeah, if they have a 10 or higher, I usually assume the worst. But I'm not always quick to hit, either. If I have a 15, and they have a 10 or an ace showing, I'll hit, but if they don't, there is a good chance I will stick. They will normally try to get as close to 21 as they can, and they can also bust.

Hitting on 17 goes against the odds. The only cards that you would not bust on are 4s, 3s, 2s, and As. 8 out of 13 times you should bust. The maximum you can increase is 4. The dealer has to hit on 16 so let them hit and take the 7 out of 13 chance that they will bust. I personally only hit up to 13. With hitting on 13 I only have 4 out of 13 chance of busting. I have a 9 in 13 chance of getting something higher. I also double down on 11 always.
