I've Been Recently shopping (window shopping) for a new PC in order to supplement my needs (wow that was a big word I need to get out of high school) here is what I looked at for a (home built) system (Cue Dramatic Music)

This is a simi dream computer that im thinking of getting in the future (figuring I only have $300 and no income or allowance) but I would like to see your ideas, opinions, and suggestions about this.

I think dell has a 64x burner combo for just a little extra, it came with my box, and it was a godsend when I started burning isos for live disks. What OS are you going to use for it? (or which Distro?)

I've got a similar machine ordered. =p It should arrive within the next ten days.

I spend two days making sure it was definitely 120% Linux compatible. Only the wireless could be a problem since the firmware isn't OSS. smile

Just something that is strong (!) and comfortable.
Possibly a more expensive in case shooters don't work out on PS3.
