herm, I'm currently a 3rd year student at my school. I know hiragana, katakana, about 30-40 kanji can have a very basic conversation, such as "Hi, How are you?" "I'm doing good" and yeah...like how to ask to go to the bathroom and other things that I can't think of right now.

Self Teaching is hard. It's not much easyer with a teacher who's only qualification to teach Japanese is that he lived in japan for 3 years though. Oh well, Mr. Nelson can be cool sometimes...though he get's mad at me when I discover some odd sentences that I randomly start saying durring class, like 京さん は 神です! and 貴方 の ばか の うし です!

The basic meaning behind them is Kyo is God and the other one is You are a stupid cow.

Anata is you

Watashi, Boku, or Kimi is me, myself, and I

Girls can only use Watashi while boys can use Boku and Kimi

This is why self teaching is not always a good thing. Oh well, I can help teach! w00t!

BUUUU~~!! that is totally wrong surprised ... you should fire your teacher surprised kimi is a familiar for "you" not "I" and

girls also have "atashi"... it is a more feminine reference but I also think that it kinda down grades you though..." atai " is a slutty self reference.... ninja also there is "watakushi" surprised wich is a very polite way of saying "me "

"kami" just means "divine"~.... "Kami-sama" is "god" surprised

and you didnt say " you are a stupid cow " right surprised

it should be

" Anata wa baka na ushi desho "

I used the desho for a polite thing..... >.>..... but you said "-no" for both of the particles and that is wrong surprised .....

I said "My stupids cow" because you were adressing me. surprised I know "anata" its self means " you " but I was actually talking in conversational mode were people comment from one another surprised .... and "Anata no" means "your"... "baka no"... I dont think that is a possible thing but that would be "Stupid's".... "ushi" .... "cow"...

hmm the teaching comment... well it seems like it would be a joint learning sweatdrop

it's interesting that you say I'm wrong when I was taught thoughs sentences two years ago from a lady who moved here from japan a year before she taught my class. She had lived her whole life there before hand...plus...you were kind of rude...I don't appreciate that.

Well you also have to remember, I have a tendancy to say things the least formal way as possible, mainly because it pisses off my teacher.

Plus, I say this crap in front of the exchange student in our class and she'll correct us if we're wrong, so I knew the Kyo is God one was wrong..but she won't tell me how to say it properly...She hasn't said anything about my cow insult so yeah...
