Since it's getting close to Halloween anyway, a time when we not only get dressed up, party, and watch scary movies, but we also go trick or treating! (or bring the kids trick or treating, or just bake scary sweets.) Well, I was thinking, I love sweets. I occasionally like to bake. I used to have a cookbook somewhere on Halloween sweets, but can't find it right now. But I thought I'd come on over and ask:

What does everyone here like for treats? Chocolates? Caramels? Candy apples, chocolate frogs, witches' fingers?
Does anyone have any recipes they would like to share?

I love caramel! My dad has this recipie for making some wicked awesome hard caramel candies but he's never shared it with me. D: I know it involves cream and sugar, but that's about it.
And I have a thing for lemon flavored candies of all sorts. : D

Aside from that, I haven't really been into candy, sweets, or pastries since I was 16.

CANDY CORN. I have this mad mad love affair with candy corn. It never ends well: the bag's left empty and I'm left with a tummy-ache.

I love coated apples - lots of candy shops around here sell them coated in caramel, chocolate and nuts, or a spicy, tangy tamarind-and-chili-pepper paste we call 'tamarindo'. They're all so goooood.

I miss trick-or-treating. I might try it again this year, just for kicks. x)

I just realised that I didn't say what I like!
um....oh yeah, just about everything lol. Well, chocolate bars and cookies, anyway.
Those coated apples sound good! I've had caramel and candy apples, but chocolate and nuts? And that...tamarindo biggrin Sounds good!

If I happen to find my recipe book I'll post some recipes.

I love anything sour, though to no surprise, my mouth has a hard time tolerating sour things any more. Snickers bars 3nodding mhmmmm, those and payday do it for me.

I love chocolate, dark chocolate. Yumm.
I also have thing for skittles and pixie sticks.
As far as treats that I make for Halloween I make magic wands (pretzel sticks covered in candy coating with various candies pressed in for decoration)
