For example, I come from a mixed family of Americans/Costa Ricans, but we dont hug or kiss people we meet.
I had a friend from Algeria, and when i met her family her mother and father kissed me on the cheek after i left their house x3
At first it left me in shock, because i wasn't expecting it, but i did know people did that in other countries ^^

In Pakistan i saw people going around in the streets... They did lotsa drama's! Example some looked like they were burned, and they looked really scary! gonk
And many people begged! And it was really stupid! Now people can't get food! I can't understand why people vote for Musharaf, and not Imran Khan?
Imran Khan, without being president(he was the best cricketer, and he is politician, and he made lotsa hospitals nad schools for poor people)
He still did soo much for the country!
And now, people do sureside bombs and all that... stressed

There was this time when I was in Firenze and a gypsy with her child was begging for euros and we were warned not to give these people anything, but she started cursing me in Italian.. we ended up filling the baby's bottle with milk and she took the hex back.
Even though I grew up in the Italian culture, it still scares the s**t out of me.
Confession every Sunday morning!
My mother has a horrible temper, if I leave even a shampoo bottle in the shower.. she SCREAMS for an hour...
Is this normal?
SO off topic

SO off topic We have beggars in Atlanta, and if you give them money and a police sees you, you will get a ticket. MOST beggars use the money to get Crack cocaine, and yes, they may have a baby as a decoy XD My mom has a horrible temper too Shes mad at me for things like not petting the cat, leaving a book out on the table, things that dont amount to a bloody hill of beans.

Well, one thing that gave me trouble was when foreign friends I'd chat with online would compliment me a lot. In the U.S. only so many compliments is considered polite, so I often had trouble knowing how to respond, desperately hoping they weren't hitting on me (these were guys). Americans aren't that friendly comparatively, even less so Californians. So it gets very awkward for me when some people start saying that they want to be good friends for life.
Awwww! I hope that gets resolved!

He's a nice person, but sometimes the "over"-friendliness can be awkward.

@ PiercedPixie2 : We do the whole hugging and kissing thing. Even with people that we just met. At times we either shake hands or if it's a woman we kiss.
So far I haven't encountered anyone with any weird greeting habits.
@Britomartis-the-Valiant: The whole compliment thing has happened to me too. It's hard trying to have a conversation when the person just gives out compliment after compliment...It happened with a guy from Belgium to the point that he said he was in love with me after a week of chatting O___O I said I had a boyfriend and even presented him my " boyfriend " ( which in reality was just a friend helping me lol ) but he didn't back off...
I am so grateful for the block button >.>

Well when I was In Northern Ireland I had seen some group of girls going out in the evening. They were wearing bunny ears or tails, devil horns and other crazy stuff. I still don't know what exactly were they celebrating... Cause there seemed to be a reason why there were doing it. sweatdrop
