I've noticed Gorillaz is kind of like the olympics. Every 2-4 years something happens.
1998- It's created 2000- Phase one starts 2002- G-sides 2004- Phase Two starts 2008- New album annouced
Also I've noticed that all their B-side CDs have come out two years after the album.
So... I was expecting album news this year. I thought "If Gorillaz is consistant as they've always been, we'll hear big news in 2008."
Has anyone else noticed this stuff, or am I just way too obessesed?

No, I've noticed that pattern as well. I was actually expecting a new album in 2010 rather than 2008. Since it's supposed to be spectacular...or something.

I'll be surprised if the album doesn't drop in 2010.

Me too. Hopefully, there will be some events 8-6 months before the release that at least end this info drought.

Yeah, I'm thinking there will be. During the 4 years between Demon Days and now there's actually been a good amount of activity and updates. I think they'd be crazy not to try to keep our attention during the wait. They need to keep a some sort of buzz if they want to sell records, I think.

I dunno... The guys(Damon and Jamie) haven't handled fan stuff too well(EX. S4AS) I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't up-to-date, especially with their new projects. I still believe you on the "event before release"
