I was just wondering what people thought of Communism and those who are Communist in general. I for one, am a strong supporter of Communism, but am not a Communist. I like the idea of Communism, but I don't like Communists. It's a great idea, but the people who try to make it work usually fail miserably (save for Lenin, who actually might have made Russia the first and only true Communist nation were it not for that pig Stalin). Anyway...what do all of you fine, educated individuals think of Communism/ Communists?

Read up a little more on Lenin's personal history, though. I used to be infatuated with communism, and especially with the old communists Marx, Lenin, and (to a lesser extent) Bakunin. Lenin's practices were quite questionable. He certainly wasn't as bad as Stalin, but there's a violent history behind the Bolshevik party.
I'm a pretty strong supporter of social democracy now. Communism is a nice ideal in the same way libertarianism is, and I'd prefer the latter. But I really think a modified socialism is the way to go.
