Some christians I know think this holiday is extremly vile. My mom, on the other hand, is looking for devil costumes for me. Ive never been the kind of kid that dresses up as an angel or the devil...So,what do you think about this holiday?

WEEELLLLL <_< >_> twisted (que evil laughter) I'm on the guys even at my age (21) who goes out in full costumes and has a grand time. My goal is to scare people though <_< >_> Though this year will be different. I personally am going out with a bunch of my anime club friends. GO OTAKU SQUAD. To do cosplay cosmic bowling...right after preforming in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

i personally dont see anything wrong with the modern day halloween. i personal refer to it as fall festival or hallow's eve, but thats beside the point. it gives nerds, geeks, idiots, and small childern an excuse to dress up as [insert name] and go run around. ive never really celebrated it but i admit it is fun. this year im probably gonna just put on a dark coat with a hood hopefully and get this big staff outta my closet, and what ill do is just stand real still next to my front door and scare the crap outta anyone that comes up, then ill say "sorry all trick, no treat". blaugh

I believe Halloween, trick or treating, and haunted houses are all perfectly fine. But i also like to scare people ^^ its too fun to see their faces when i scare the heak outa them. I personally think Halloween is fine as long as you stay away from satan worship junk. As long as you don’t do that stuff, I see no problem in it at all.

Lalalalalalaa! ♪ (Fsujs, I don't think you're anyone to correct spelling, my friend.)
Any way! I don't really like the original Halloween (or "All Hallows' Eve") because in this European pagan festival the ancient pagan's believed that the boundary between the alive and dead becomes very dangerous for the alive on October 31st. And the reason for dressing up and making masks was to mimic demons and evil spirit to placate them. (2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and a sound mind.") But I do agree that modern day, commercialized Halloween is a lot less Satanic. I don't agree with dressing up like some kind of devil thing, though. The Bible also says in 1 Thessalonians 5:22, "Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be." -AMP
I like dressing up a lot, that's fun. Last year I was the AWESOMEST rugged sailor person! I think that's very fun, but I don't think God likes it when His children dresses up like Demons. -That's not too much of a party pooper, right?
Any ways, don't worry about what I or anyone else thinks. Talk to God about it. Remember that we are from this world but not of it, so tradition doesn't oppose us.

I'm going to be a pirate this year. pirate And my bf is going as a ninja. ninja Together, we're going as Pirate vs. Ninja. mrgreen I beileve that something won't have any power in it unless you beleive it does. So, Halloween is no more satanic to me than Harry Potter because I don't see any harm in dressing up and running around like your 6 again and trying to get some free candy, even though half the houses you go to think you're 'too old'. D: Sure this may have originated a paganistic celebration, but whatever. That's not what the modern day and age holiday is about. It's about about dressing up in cheap and silly costumes and paracing around in the cold for an hour in the hopes of getting a bunch of sweets. ^_^

Thats the best part about Cons and being an Otaku you can cosplay any time you really want. Slip into their character and be someone else for awhile XD. Then I am an actor so I become some one different all the time.

~I love going to festivals and parties! heart
I especially love making costumes. Last year I made my whole costume from scratch, the shoe covers, neon pants, radio transmitter (carved out of wood and painted), white sunglasses with red lenses, ect. I was cosplaying after a character here in my world. We made it up, so there's no use trying to explain her. xd It was so much fun! I got so much attention from everyone wondering where I got my costume! ^ - ^
This year I'm working on halloween. I think I'll wear my pirate get up from a few years back, mrgreen ~
