Setting:
The clan is midsized, based out of a honey comb set of caves, thay live in them exclusivly. There is two fires, one communal one, one leaders one *For heads of the clan to meet at only*. The communal fire is where most meet, kittens play here and it is almost always a blaze.
The Mountans are sparce of both plant life and game.. these cougars are rough.. cold and tend to be war like. Quicktalons Love a good battle or raid.
Training takes place on a flat area above the home caves.. its dry, rocky and if you take a wrong step.. its your last.
The forrest is currently in: Winter, A time of festivals and cerimonies.. hunting is most important.

Theta paced back and forth in the mid-sized cave she called home. Growling softly, her eyes and ears were constantly alert for those that would come to her cave. Finally, she stopped. She strode to the cave entrance and glared down at the communal fire. Shadows showed her where her clan was, csat by the light of the large blaze. From this distance, she could not discern any actual details... her clanswomen were merely sillouettes and shadows. Her eyes narrowd as she looked at them. Their numbers had dwindled over the years. They must find a way to replenish the numbers. Her clan must be strong again! Only then would they have the power to take over another clan and find a more hospitable home.
Growling, she flipped her tail and started to head down to the fires. She knew that there was a new member to her small clan. One that had come from... was is Dewclaw? or Faufur? It did not matter. The child must have proven herself already or else she would not have been accepted by whomever brought her here. But she had yet to be tested by Theta. For she was the clan leader and her acceptance was necessary. One did not intentionally anger or annoy her, for she was impatient and quick to anger.. and even quicker to take that anger out on those at hand.
She paused halfway down the rocky slope and perched on the edge, a sly look crossing her features. Hopefully this new child would prove to be useful. She had come from another clan.. perhaps she knew some of their secrets as well. Theta smiled wickedly and finally made her way to the bottom, striding in amonst her clan and taking a seat close to the fire.

The lean white teen tilted towards the fire, letting out a light yelp. A swat to her head silenced her, a fellow Quicktalon sending a scowl. Kimae frowned, moving to sit back down.
She had been sitting there since early in the morning, waiting for Vixa to return. The shamaness was the only one she really knew, and Kimae had a bad feeling about most of the others in the clan.
So, feeling like a simple kitten, the half-blind teen reached behind her for the shabby bowl, wanting to rush the duty of grinding those pathetic herbs into a powder.
Oh, she was bored. The cougar looked up, trying to spot someone, anyone she could recognize.

Theta glanced around at the figures near the fire, searching for any unfamiliar faces. There. On the other side. There sat a white child... with a scar running down her face. Theta smirked to herself and slowly raised her body from the log she had been sitting on. She purposefully strode over to where the white one was sitting and crouched down next to her.
"So... you are my clan's newest member? Why would a youngling such as yourself wish to join this clan?"

Kimae kept her gaze down, trying to stay calm. She had never met a Chieftess. In Dewclaw, she was either too busy exploring or hurt.
"Because they were boring and pathetic." She replied, staying casual. Her answer was straight, that was all she would say. That was all she could say. "I belong here."

Theta continued to crouch next to the youngling and smirked.
"And why exactly do you think you belong here? With the QuickTalon? We are a strong clan with no room for the weak.. or deserters. I have great plans for our tribe and depending on your attitude you may either help or hinder us. So explain to me, youngling, how it is that you have found your way to us. And what you hope to accomplish by being here."
She looked at the white child the entire time she spoke, never allowing her eyes to leave the smaller figure. She sat down next to her and waited to hear her response. If her response was not satisfactory... the child would not be welcome among this clan.

Kimae paused, staying quiet for a while. "I don't know." She muttered, narrowing her eyes. "I hope to find out what I need to do. I hope to help bring this dead clan to full power. I need to get over a few mental and physical blocks, and I knew that Dewclaw wouldn't do anything for me." The cougar reached up, moving the pale hair out of her face.
"There isn't much I can say."

Theta sighed to herself softly. Apparently she wasn't being clear.
"I'm sure there is plenty you could tell me child. First, what is your name? I am Theta, Chieftess of the QuickTalon clan. But you need not fear speaking with me because of what I am. "
She narrowed her eyes slightly then began purring softly, as if to calm the child and make her more willing to talk.
"Tell me your story child. Tell me of life in the hated Dewclaw clan.. and most importantly why you left. And how you came to find your way here."

"I don't know." She repeated. "I was just..there. Supposedly, I'm Kimae. I left because things wouldn't work out. Someone showed me. There isn't anything else." She sighed, scooting a bit off.
"If you need to know, go talk to them. It isn't a fun thing to chat about."

Theta narrowed her eyes again.
Strange Child.. why will she not talk to me?
She stood up, brushing the dirt that had clung to her fur away. She began walking around to the other side of the fire again but paused and looked back over her shoulder.
"Very well child. If you do not wish to tell me your tale now.. I will let it go. For the time being. But you will tell me eventually. And since I know little about you, you will have to prove yourself even more. If you cannot prove you belong in this clan, you must leave and find a new home. And do not think to trick or cross me.. you will regret it."

Theta had gone back to the other side of the fire, eyes narrowed in thought. This strange new child had better prove to be useful to her clan... or else. She would tolerate no nonsense or worse, any betrayal from anyone. She purred softly as she rose and walked away. Maybe she would prove to be useful. Only time would tell.
As she walked back towards her own personal cave, she glanced at the sky. Dark and moonless, the sky was inky black, cloudless as well, and only little pinpoints of light detailing where the stars lay. Tonite would be a perfect night for scrying. Why hadn't she thought of that before? Perhaps she would see if she could locate the DewClaw and see what sort of plans they had.
She smirked to herself and continued climbling to her cave. She would need a few supplies first.

The lean warrior chieftess smirked to herself as she thought of spying on the other clans. She gathered the supplies she would need. First, a shallow bowl, she also nabbed a waterskin and hefted it experimentally. It felt full enough for tinights purpose. She would have to refill it for her own drinking water... but the small sacrifice was worth it. She lookd around quickly for her small sack of herbs and powders. Eyes darting around her cave, she growled softly as she couldn't find them immediately. Shifting through her sparse belongings, she found it underneath a broken earthenware bowl. Ah yes.. she remembered. She had been frustrated by the last attempt and had broken the bowl and forgotten the bag underneath. Purring softly, she gathered her things and left the cave.

Theta worked her way over the rocky ground carefully. She didn't want to lose or drop any of her supplies. They were important to her plan and she didn't want to have to scrounge up more.
She picked her way nimbly down the rocky slope and finally reached the ground. An icy wind ruffled her fur and she frowned. God she hated this season. So cold.. well.. at least it wasn't snowing. And without the wind, the temperature was perfect. Cold, but not a bitter cold... so she would be fine to sit out for a few hours without a fire. Smirking to herself, she licked her lips then began crossing over towards where the sparse forest began.
She paused as she passed the communal fires and stared into them, lost for a moment in the dancing flames.
