THE BLOOD FACTION: VAMPIRE

Hello there.

This is the Vampire Faction sign-up thread. In the next two posts, you will see the About section - which tells you all you need to know about the vampires of this world - and the profile skeletons, which will give you the low-down of what is needed for your character to become a participant in this roleplay.

In the next few posts after those, you will see the different subfactions of the vampires. Those posts are where your profiles will be posted after you send them in, so that everything is nice and organized. Simple, no? :3

Also, in this faction, there is a subfaction that normal rpers cannot sign up in. That is the ELDERS subfaction, and only MODERATORS may join that subfaction. Please keep that in mind when signing up.

All right, this is the first faction of The Phoenix Lair! I hope you enjoy!

SEIZE THE NIGHT: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VAMPIRES

General

Not much is really known about these creatures except their phenomenal thirst for blood. However, thanks to air-spying techniques by the Ganhanah Airbase northwest of the Kachak River, the world is aware of the following facts:

1) Vampires abhor sunlight. There hasn't been one encounter of vampires making an appearance during the daylight as far as the records go. Reasons for doing so are unknown, and so are the consequences for not doing so.

2) Garlic is noneffective, as are crosses. These two supposed ways of warding off vampires turned officially null and void when a small village southwest of Kiptin Bay was attacked by a hoard of Rogues. The church had been desecrated, and an eyewitness managed to stay alive long enough to say that he had seen a vampire - apparently it was to prove a point - sink its teeth into a mass of garlic and had been unfazed. Crosses are useless unless a holy man is there to channel God's power into the wood. At the time of the attack, all priests were asleep.

3) The power of a vampire is classified by the length of its teeth. The longer the teeth are, the longer the vampire's been alive and the stronger he or she is. 1 centimeter = 1000 years

4) Vampires are officially classified as 'undead'. Therefore, they cannot be killed and they cannot reproduce. It has been deduced that vampires seeking to increase their numbers do not 'spread their disease' to their prey, but instead inject genes upon biting them, making the host protect a vampric soul until the next feeding - where another vampire awakens the spirit, and the host spirit is devoured by the vampire inside. The vampire soul changes and mutates based on the soul it devours.

In general, vampires are cunning and smooth, known for their watchfulness and analytic senses during battle. The rumor that they can change from vampire to bat at will is also false - all except for the vampires most adept at unholy magic: the Elders.

SUBFACTION ONE

Kindred

About

The 'normal' vampire. They are clever and lithe, mindbenders and creatures that love to exercise their means of smooth persuasion. Due to their thin figure, however, they lack physical strength and are poor when it comes to physical combat. Therefore, they work to learn unholy magic and occasionally compete against each other for positions of power. Aloof even with their own people and preferring to live alone, Kindred vampires gather only to discuss matters that are essential for survival. Not known for any warmongering, they are instead known for their quiet ambitions, and instead prefer to gain what they want subtly and gracefully instead of battling for it.

SUBFACTION TWO

Rogue

About

The complete opposite of their Kindred cousins, the Rogue vampires were born from a civil war among the vampires centuries ago previous, and have their base set up underground in the heart of the Roglench Plains. They are powerful in bodily strength, but substantially weak in magic, preferring to use massive weapons like battle axes and maces to crush their opponents. Tactless and upfront, the Rogue are a rebellious community known for their warmongering over the most trivial of details. Hotheaded and rash, Rogues are also known for their notoriously unpredictable strokes of genius, which always keeps their cousins on their toes. They are intensely loyal to their clan, but squabbles often break out over who saw what first.

SUBFACTION THREE

Elders

About

The ageless among the vampires, they belong to no true subfaction, and instead rule the vampire world with ancient, wise hands. Not much is known about these vampires, but it is common knowledge that they possess magical strength like no other, and could wage wars and crush cities underfoot with a few well-placed incantations. However, they are neutral in every affair, and will only step in when the vampire community is seriously threatened as a whole.

FINAL SUBFACTION

Crus'nik

About

Vampires born due to a genetic mutation brought about when genes injected into a human host accidentally joined with some host cells, the Crus'nik are disfigured and grotesque, and almost totally a mystery to the outside world. Shunned by the rest of their people due to both their looks and the 'disgusting' idea that they live like parasites - feeding off others of their own kind - they have been almost forgotten. Chased away into the Suenshiin Mountains, they remain isolated from the rest of the world, feeding off each other and becoming ever desperate for means to change their inevitable fate...

ACCEPTED: KINDRED

User Image
Username:zfatal
Character Name: Celetri Béyonvale
Subfaction: Kindred
Canine Teeth Length: 15 cm
Age: 1502 years
Bio: Celetri was set to wander, alone, after her 'birth.' For the first five hundred years or so, she was your typical new-born vampire, with all of the blood lust, the seduction, and the fascination with darkness. Now, nothing has really changed, but Celetri is more reserved. She has lost the cliché idea of what vampires are--long ago, now--and has become her own person once again. Due to an incident in her past, around the age of 1113, Celetri became the ideal person to serve as a link between the Kindred and the Elders. She studies their dark magics any chance she gets.
Persona: If there was one thing that Celetri described her life with, one word; it would be intensity. All else pales in comparison to this nature of hers. While she is typically as intelligent as vampires go, while devious and tricksome, she'll forgo all pretense and pleasantries if she gets the chance to feel intense. Such as insulting a dragon, and trying to survive.
Weapons/Spells: Celetri has her own variety of dark magic, of course. Physical strength is not her strong point, but never underestimate the power of an undead.
Mission in Life: To feel intensity, always.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: The strong, the sleek, the cool, the sexy.
Any She Hates? Why?: Dragons, and cleric humans. Not lycans, though.
Theme Song: Hot for Teacher | Van Halen
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
The opening drum and guitar rift.

User Image
Username: Azrael_The_Death_Angel
Character Name: Sahte Tenri
Canine Teeth Length: 20
Age: 2010
Bio: He really has been just moving through life... well in his case, forced through life on this forsaken planet. He has many, many powerful spells to allow him to pass judgment on others. Depending on his 'mood' he kills different individuals, and he has gained many nicknames, but one nickname shines through, "The Divine Pantheon". He has had an interesting past though, and it is covered in blood. He has killed many people, of nearly every race. And to add to his nickname, some odd circumstances have occurred. He believes that he is a god trapped in human form, and that an entire pantheon has been trapped within him. This does seem to have some truth to it though, one particular situation where he was surrounded by a group of beast demons, all of extremely high level and strength. He was trapped behind a mountain and he couldn't get out. From here it gets a little sketchy, some people say a massive light shot from the sky and obliterated the group, others say that the gods themselves came down to kill him. The only proof they have is that there are many massive craters near the Barast Mountain range on the northwest end.
Persona: He has a god complex, and he's schizophrenic and he's slightly bipolar., which leads to interesting conversations. Here is a list of the gods and their corresponding personalities:

  1. God of Death=Morbid
  2. God of Wrath=Angry
  3. God of Justice=Vindictive, Self-Righteous
  4. God of Harmony=Laid-back, Chill
  5. God of Chaos=Mischievous
  6. God of Joy=Happy, Hyper
  7. God of Love=Charming, Flirtatious

These personalities comment on everything he does, and in certain situations take over. He also is slowly spiraling downward into insanity or in his explanation, the end of times, due to his belief that the gods within him will be released and destroy all of humanity.
Weapons/Spells: He is dangerously powerful with spells, and has many that correspond with the various 'gods' within him. Poison/decay spells, explosive spells, spells that get more powerful the more it hits, sound based spells, unpredictable spells, speed enhancement spells, and flashy light spells.
Mission in Life: It depends on which god you ask, but it should be obvious
Quirks: See Persona.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: He sorta acts normal around people, but he doesn't particularly like anyone.
Any He Hates? Why?: He hates all who don't believe him.
Theme Song: "Savior" by Skillet
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"I'm everything you've wanted, I am the one who's haunting you, I am the eyes inside of you, Stare back at you, It's time to redefine, Your deophobic mind, Don't hesitate, no escape, From secrets on the inside, I'm watching you, Cause you need me, Yeah, yeah, cause you need me, I'm watching you"
Other:The 'gods' that he speaks of aren't really gods, they are just disillusions that have been created in his subconscious.

Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Hana Lebellisk
Canine Teeth Length: 125.91
Age: 12,591, She more than exceeds the usual age limit
Bio: Hana was 'born' destined to be a weapon. Before she could even come to identify with herself, before she'd even had her first meal, she was introduced to poison. It started with clothing with poison sewn into it. Before she was allowed to devour the husk of her carrier, they dressed her with it. She barely noticed, too frenzied and confused from this new world, but it was the beginning of her destiny. Her first meal was the only one to contain no poison in it. It was the sweetest meal she had ever had. When she was done feeding, she was taken to her new home. What started with poison in the clothes continued. There was poison under the sheets, poison in her food, poison in everything she used. At first the traces were minimal. She'd get sick, get used to the poison, and then more would be added. It went on like this until poison no longer fazed her. She rarely got ill. Poison was now a part of her. In fact, poison became her weapon. She can push poison out from her skin and kill you with a touch, or kiss you and watch you suffocate.

Once she was strong enough to go outside, Hana did so. She had been trained to avoid accidentally poisoning people. She wore gloves, didn't share food or drink, and kept her own space. She remained sociable though, enjoying the company of others. Her life, outside of that mile stone, remained calm. She had been raise from her 'birth' to be a weapon for the Elders. An attack dog of sorts, gifted with special privileges and powers, the best one being her obnoxiously long lifespan. After all, it took a long time to raise a Poison Princess such as herself. They couldn't have her die after a few thousand years. When Hana wasn't going about attacking and carrying out the whims of the Elders, she was following her own whims. She could also be found at the meetings Elders attend where decisions are held. They've always found it best to keep her well informed on decisions so that she couldn't be decieved by others.
Persona: At first, Hana seems distant and polite, for that is how she prefers strangers to think of her. Truely though, Hana is a very strange girl. She fancies herself with science and always expresses curiousity about the strangest things. She is best described as 'Out-There', though always elegant. Some of her strangeness though, without her noticing, is cruel, so it is best not assume that she is a harmless weirdo. She has an interest in the reactions of others to what she does or says, which may be the stem for her weirdness.
Weapons/Spells: Naturally, she excells in assassination with her poison. The poison in her body, however, they are not only for close contact fighting as one might think. She can release poison out of her pores should she wish, invisible or otherwise. Also, by altering the poison using the hormones in her body, she can change the effect it has and who it works on.

Hana also, in terms of weapons, occasionally uses poison powders and daggers that have been dipped in her own blood. The poison powders are rarely taken out though, because she can't control them like her own poisons, and they tend to hurt anyone else in the area.
Mission in Life: She doesn't quite have one. Rather, she is quite contented to do whatever she feels like at the moment, which changes rapidly. Her life is too long, she claims, for her to hold any kind of huge goal. She'd accomplish it too quickly. Other than that, she also aims to please the Elders who keep her. It is her job.
Quirks: Hana is occasionally affected by her own poison. She will get very sick and weak at times, which means that she needs to rest and reduce her poison intake until her body gets up on its feet again. These sick moments are rare, only occuring about every 100 years or so, but they usually last for a good month or two.
Hana's body, in order to avoid her getting sick much more often, requires her to take a small amount of poison each day. She can be thusly be found either chewing on some herb or another, or slipping some powder into a glass of water.
Any Factions or Subfactions She Likes? Why?: She has an affection for Werewolves in the same way that Biologists have an affection for frogs. Other than that it is the individual who catches her attention, not the group they were born into.
Any She Hates? Why?: Again, her interests deal with the individuals. Any individual who is not interesting, or doesn't react in a curious way, she dislikes.
Theme Song: Poison--Shiny Toy Guns
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song: Contact, with fire full love. As you're to know my days. A season of poison will bring the darkness soon.
Other: Hana's like of Werewolves wasn't a joke, she usually does like how different they are from her own kind. Her love for them though, is usually cruel thanks to how she loves to see reactions.

Username: Luminol Lights
Character Name: Dorian Bastion
Subfaction: Kindred
Canine Teeth Length: 24.03, he files them.
Age: 2403
Bio: Dorian was originally a young human Cardmaster. He grew from a family of such as a rather happy boy. A rather happy, greedy boy. His parents didn't know where he got it from. Their dearest son, a true gem most of the time, had an unnatural love for money. The strangest thing they found though, was that he did little to nothing with it. Eventually they grew used to it. He didn't do anything dangerous or illegal to get the money, so they supposed that he was at least getting a good work ethic out of it. It was only later, after all, that Dorian lost his want to earn money through hard work. Later, after he became a vampire. It was funny. His parents had both passed away only a few months before he was, "turned," meaning that he had inherited his father's cards. The Cards.

Yes. They get their own capitals.

You see, Dorian has a certain gift for premonition. He can predict the future by using that special set of cards left to him by his father. While he is a vampire, since he still has his old genetics, the cards recognize him as their master. They are not used to fight though, seeing as how he cannot use them. In fact, they aren't even usually stored within his own pocket. They are kept within the pocket of his partner in crime, but more about her later. Currently, Dorian makes quite a bit of pocket change by giving out eerily acurate predictions of people's future. The catch? Why none...if you're lucky. See, he has one special card within his deck. The Death Card, possesing a monster of pure smoke, shadow, ill fortune, and pain.

It's his favorite.

If a customer is unlucky enough to have it come up in their reading, then the card is released. They die, and all of their money, not just the token price, is taken. Of course, most customers walk away with considerably lighter pockets. That is due to his lovely partner, Cardmaster and pickpocket. He'd met some years ago, back before he had The Death Card. At that time, he had been unable to access it. It belonged to him, technically, but his father had locked it away from him until he was powerful enough to use it...not expecting his son to become a vampire. But oh, Dorian remembered that card and the power it held and he wanted it. So what did he do? He began a search for a Cardmaster of the power his dad expected him to be.

It was difficult.

The truth was, the flimsy humans kept dying when they tried to access it. Damn. And then he met Anthrax. She's one to tell more of the story of their meeting, while he focuses on the fact that she got the card. It now recognizes her as a partial master, along with him. He doesn't mind, because it allows for his fortune telling to be that much more profitable. Antharx helps out quite a bit in...many ways, Dorian would say. As hard as it is to admit, they make good partners. Now if only she would allow herself to become a vampire. He'd love to continue working with the equally psychotic girl. He's already bitten her himself during some of their vicious activities, but he's still trying to convince her to allow another vampires to finish the job.
Persona: Dorian is two parts conman and one part psychopath. He'd say sociopath, but he does believe himself able to feel emotions. Or at least, he can get attached to others.

Really though, when in his conman mode, Dorian is a fantastic gentleman. Sweet, kind, charismatic, and just a wonderful person to be with and talk to. He adores being in that mode. It's so much fun to watch people fall into his little trap of trust. It's even better when, further than trusting him, they like him. Oh! It's so wonderful, especially if they happen to draw The Death Card. Then their faces of shock and horror are doubly as sweet.

For Dorian likes to watch others suffer almost as much as he loves money and the game he plays. Dorian's psychopathic nature is probably what leads his great lusts. His lust for life, his lust for gold, and, occasionally, his lust for people, especially his partner. Really, Dorian is a larger than life, although usually quiet, character.
Weapons/Spells: He's a vampire who specializes in fighting with chain-like weapons. It allows him to stay distant from the enemies. He can also use a bit of ice magic, but not enough. Only enough to make his chains burn the skin with frostbite when it hits. ...Is his partner considered a weapon?
Mission in Life: To make as much as he can, and, recently, to keep his partner with him.
Quirks: Dorian almost has two distinctly different personalities. There is his chatty, friendly one, and his quiet, scary one. Both, however, only show small glimpses of his true motives and character.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: His own, because they are his own, and he is fond of Humans. Their defenses are usually so low.
Any He Hates? Why?: Werewoles. It's a factional thing.
Pets: He has an adorable winged kitten that he keeps with him. It's a centuries old gift from the man who sired him many, many years ago. Cute as it is though, it will bite those it doesn't trust who try to pet it.
Theme Song: Hospital Bed Crawl--The Hush Sound
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
"Well hey, you're the only thing I wouldn't change. In this place, it's strange to say, you're the only angel I ever gave away."
Other: He hates cheese. No reason, he just does. Also, he is a bit of a lush.

DISMISSED: ROGUE

Username: SilentShadowDreamer
Character Name: Corsik Azgaret
Canine Teeth Length : 7
Age: 715, quite young by vampire standards.
Bio: Corsik spent the first three or four hundred years of his life with his clan. They weren’t precisely stopping his tendencies towards bloodlust, however, and eventually he grew bored of the same types of victims. Humans, mostly. So he took a break – with full if tacit consent from his clan, of course; Corsik would never dream of just walking out on them – to learn a little bit more about the world on his own terms.

It was in the midst of this traveling – he would have barely reached his five hundredth year – when he met Evana, a young and lost Blue Phoenix. She would have been a meal if he had been less lonely. As it was, they went from traveling companions to friends to lovers. Corsik was actually beginning to consider leaving his clan in order to remain with her; he knew it would make him a traitor. He simply didn’t care.

And then she left him. Well, she didn’t exactly leave him – her life cycle ended. Somehow (Corsik still doesn’t remember exactly how; all he remembers is horror and running to find water) he got separated from her ashes, and was not present to see her rebirth. She must have thought he’d left, as by the time he returned, she was gone. He became obsessed with his loss, and has spent the one hundred and fifteen years, four months, nine days and five hours since she vanished searching for her.
Persona: Corsik adheres so strictly to the “rules” about Rogue personalities that it sometimes seems he’s putting it on – no one can be that much of a living cliché, can they? He’s hotheaded and rash, rarely thinking something through before jumping right in. Any semblance of tact or sarcasm is lost on him – if you don’t want to say something straight out to Corsik, don’t say anything. His moods shift so fast that just trying to keep up will leave your head spinning. While he’s never precisely looking for a fight, he’ll pick up the slightest challenge and call you out on it. (Yes, he even does it to people he can’t possibly defeat and yes, he gets beaten up regularly – why do you ask?) However, if his trust is gained, he can be incredibly loving and loyal. The problem is that space between first meeting and gaining trust.
Weapons/Spells: An ancient battleaxe that’s been handed on and on through his clan. It looks like it’s about to fall apart, and Corsik really has no idea how much longer the thing is going to survive, but at least it still handles nicely for him.
Mission in Life: He’s dedicated himself to tracking Evana down again.
Quirks: Since Evana vanished, Corsik never smiles, except when he’s about to make a kill. Otherwise, he is constantly solemn-faced. If he’s smiling, and it appears that he’s smiling at you? Run.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: He likes his clan, and he likes the Phoenix – or, to be specific, the Blue Phoenix. To be most specific, one particular Blue Phoenix. Everyone else can just go to hell.
Any He Hates? Why?: To hate someone would require undue mental exertion. He’d have to spend time thinking about them. Corsik thinks he has better things to do.
Theme Song: Tongue, Seether
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
“Any spirit left in me is fading fast/Could you throw another stone to ease my pain?/Could you throw another stone to seal my fate?”

Username: Black Magic Creator
Character Name: Arlen Grimmtide
Subfaction: Rogue
Canine Teeth Length: He files them down to a more reasonable length of 1.5 centimeters.
Age: 6834 years, but he stopped counting forty years after he became a vampire. He doesn’t even celebrate his birthday.
Bio: Arlen tells no one of his life before vampirism, even if they bother to ask. Arlen was bitten by a rogue vampire and taken back to the home of this vampire underneath the Roglench Plains. Arlen fit right in to the group and was quickly accepted into their ranks. However, Arlen quickly proved himself to be more wild and disobedient than even the rogues wanted to handle, but he was too strong and worthwhile to keep for them to have any desire to kick Arlen out of the clan. After a year of keeping his place with the rogue vampires, his maker, Maya Vulonski, proved to be a traitor—and she nearly got away with it. Maya almost destroyed the entire rogue vampire clan. Arlen was the one to stop her, and even though she offered him all his desires should he go with her, he took care of her quickly. Thusly, Arlen was celebrated as a hero. Despite his savage and often fatal behavior, the rogue vampires cannot seem to get rid of him. He’ll disobey direct orders, obliterate the mental and physical sanity and safety of his coworkers, and verify the fact that he is a cold, hard killer with every mission he is sent on… Yet he is such a successful vampire with these missions because he gets the job done one way or another and the vampires have no one like him to do their dirty work. (Arlen often gets sent on missions to take out enemy forces, and he also makes a great spy.) He is too powerful and too useful to be rid of. Besides, he has never done anything completely treacherous, right? The rogue leaders have tried their best to tame Arlen, but the man has proved to be entirely untamable. They’ve basically given up. When not occupied on a mission, Arlen goes out hunting, yes, literally hunting, for trouble. This may be seducing a princess to murdering nobility to stealing priceless items. No one ever knows what he’ll do next. Somehow, he always seems to weasel his way out of it. The rogue leaders had decided to make Arlen an exception of the rules as he is more likely to follow them if he doesn't have to anyway.

At one point, Arlen was given a lot of time off, and therefore he had been creating a lot of trouble for the rogue vampires. Unable to control him off their own accord, they assigned him a rule-keeper of sorts. Inanna Terrlis has been given this position, and Arlen is having a hell of a time trying to break her calm, stoic demeanor and get a moment of utter passion from her. His rule-breaking has gone from breaking the rules because he wants to to breaking the rules to frustrate Inanna. As a result, his rule-breakings are steadily growing worse. They have been traveling together for approximately one hundred years.
Persona: Arlen is uncontrollable. He does whatever he wants, when he wants to do it, and how he wants it done. He looks down on most people as inferior to himself unless they have power or at least a sense of one. He is undeniably cruel, mostly just because he can be, and will take advantage of any poor soul that he can get to. Arlen always wants things he can’t have; it is almost a curse. He’ll chase for it until he gets it. He is incredibly frank and to the point; there is no beating around the bush with Arlen, and he does not like to sugar coat bad news. He likes to tease other people and see just how far they will go. While Arlen is as wild as he is, it is strangely difficult to get a rise out of him. However, when he does get mad, you better watch out; he is as merciless and cruel as ever when he loses that practiced control of his. And yes, he does have a good sense of self-control, so you can imagine if he is so ruthless while he is controlling himself, how ruthless he is when he is not controlling himself. When he can no longer control himself, Arlen is a bloodthirsty man and will often go on violent rampages to sooth his thirsts, whatever they may be. Still, with such harsh words, Arlen manages to stay charming. He is alluring, captivating, and downright appealing. Why? A part of it may be the fact that he never actually sounds like he is being insulting; he speaks so casually. He is stubborn, immovable, and incredibly argumentative. He possesses an uncanny, devious smirk. Arlen’s male libido is a strong one, and he has no problem seducing pretty woman, and they have to be beautiful to fit Arlen’s shallow image of women, to satisfy his needs. It is unknown as to whether Arlen’s thirst for blood or sex is stronger. He both enjoys giving out pain and receiving it, therefore a sadist and a masochist. Therefore, he laughs when he is suffering. Why? Because he is enjoying it, of course.
Weapons/Spells: Arlen is not one to pick up a weapon like a sword or a bow and fight; give him one of those and he will have absolutely no idea of what to do with it. When he kills, he uses his bare hands or those threatening vampire teeth. He does have a few other killer traits as well. Arlen is swift and stealthy, which are great qualities that help him to sneak up on people. He has impressive physical strength and an excessive knowledge of hand to hand combat. Arlen has an analytical brain, and he can sense patterns and formulate a plan within seconds. (On the other hand, art serves no purpose to him.) He is also an expert manipulator and can talk his way into just about anything. It is rumored that Arlen has an innate sense of magic, but none have ever witnessed a use of any such devices.
Mission in Life: Arlen’s mission in life is muddled and unclear. Is to kill? Is it to ********? Who knows. And who cares?
Quirks: Arlen has a surprising amount of energy in his system. He doesn’t like to sit and do nothing; the man is constantly moving. He curses constantly. He is a perfectionist to the extreme; everything must be perfect… or at least his version of perfect. Arlen has synesthesia; he can see colors matched with sounds, tastes, or feels, and he takes synesthesia one step farther than most—even people have their own colors which surrounds them. Arlen has an unusually expressive face. He’s an open book, surprisingly. Lastly, Arlen never lies. As to why, it is unknown.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: It doesn’t really matter to him.
Any He Hates? Why?: He doesn’t show any real hatred for any faction or subfaction, but he does show a particular disgust with the Mages. As to why, it is unknown.
Pets: Everyone is his pet, and everyone is his play toy.
Theme Song: The Sound of Madness -- Shinedown
Line of Song that Made You Choose That Song:
“Another loose cannon gone bi-polar. / Slipped down, couldn't get much lower / Quicksand's got no sense of humor. / I'm still laughing like hell / … / I created the sound of madness / wrote the book on pain / Somehow I'm still here / to explain / that the darkest hour never comes in the night. / You can sleep with a gun. / When you gonna wake up and fight... for yourself?”
Other: Arlen is on self-destruct; though he won’t admit it, it is evident that he is participating in risky behaviors to bring himself to ruins. As to why, it is unknown. Also, Arlen has an undeniable scent that smells like nothing else, and it seems to be stronger than most others. (He has been told that his scent is rather enjoyable, and that only adds to the ample size of his ego.) It is one of the things that endanger him on his missions; it makes him easier to track.

SHUNNED: CRUS'NIK

User Image
Username: Doctor_Whiteface
Character Name: Shar'dakul
Subfaction: Crus'nik
Canine Teeth Length: 12
Age: 1274
Bio: Shar'dakul, or Shard to his few friends and several comrades, is one of the few Crus'nik who shows no physical signs of the mutation. He lives among the regular Vampiric clans, but day by day only. He has learned to blend in, feeding only on Crus'nik, posing as a particularly sadistic Rogue who drinks the blood of Crus'nik. This is strange, but as there are known members of the Rogue faction that perform this ritual as a kind of revenge rite it is accepted. An unstable factor in his 'parent' human's soul allows him to gain slight nutrition from this cannibalistic activity.
Persona: Bloodthirsty, cruel
Weapons/Spells: Uses two giant scimitars clasped to his back in an X fashion. He took several dozen years of trouble to extract the iron from the blood of his victims to make the blades. It doesn't add anything particularly effective to the blades, and it gives them no special powers but it's a good story to tell people, and it impresses them.
Mission in Life: Survive.
Quirks: Shard has mutations beyond that of normal Crus'nik that allow him to gain sustenance from the blood of other Crus'nik.
Any Factions or Subfactions He Likes? Why?: shard divides the world into three parts: Those who can be eaten, those who can be killed, and those to run away from.
Any He Hates? Why?: As above.
