So I live with my boyfriend and that's where I'll start. I enjoy living wit him that's not my issue; it's that I always grew up wanting to take karate(martial arts) and dance (ballroom and hula) classes because I never have.
And he grew up taking both (not hula but ballroom)... But anytime I try to talk about taking them when we one day have the funds he either changes the topic completely or says he'd rather take fencing (fencing isn't for me I mean cool to watch but I have little intrest in taking it.)
So I'm at the point where I don't know what to do. I don't want to take dance or anything with some random guy but I can't seem to get my boyfriend interested in taking them with me. And he doesn wanna take karate with me cuz he can't spar or practice with me with all his strenght for fear of hurting me; which I understand but don't see why we still can't take the classes sweatdrop

Maybe he has some sort of fear or trauma involving the ballroom dancing, have you talked with him about it? Or maybe he doesn't understand how important this is to, have you tried sitting him down and talking and asking him why he won't take the classes with you? It sounds to me like he's hiding something, not something bad, maybe just he doesn't like it I guess? I'm not really a hundred percent sure what you should do, I guess if he won't listen try getting his attention in a way he'll understand mew?
