__________Time & Weather
_______________Currently it is the 2nd turn of the Pass, which puts us at turn 2760 since
_______________colonization of Pern. For all in character purposes, it is the 2nd month
_______________of the 2nd year of the 10th Pass. Winter is full upon us and has been for
_______________about two months prior. Weather is as it should be - snowy, freezing.
_______________Weyrfolk should be wearing their heavy coats about now, sloshing about in
_______________the snow in their boots and worrying about frostbite. Stop by the
_______________living cavern for a good cup of klah to warm your innards!
__________Rumors and Gossip
_______________Word coming out of the South is that there’s a crazy pandemic going
_______________around, but the only reports are those from travelers and explorers. No
_______________civilizations have felt the grip of this disease, so everyone is pretty much
_______________passing it off as hearsay and such.
_______________Worldwide there isn’t much to complain about. Clutchings and hatchings
_______________are commencing with great speed. Currently there are clutches sitting on
_______________the sands of Telgar, Fort, and Ista.
_______________Some say that Weyrwoman Delina has lost her marbles – she’s been acting
_______________strangely lately, doing odd things she never did before and staring
_______________glassy-eyed for hours at a time. Healers stop by daily, but there’s no sign
_______________of anything wrong with her. Most just say it’s old age, since she’s well
_______________into her sixties by now.
__________Upcoming Events
_______________Get your robes ready and your feet sandaled. Candidates should fill out
_______________the form as soon as they are approved in the character thread. The
_______________hatching should happen sometime at the beginning of next month, and
_______________everyone needs to be ready for it! We will stop taking applications about five
_______________days prior to the hatching – we will probably let you know five days prior to
_______________THAT, so you have time to get your applications in.
_______________Be on standby for the upcoming plot. It’s gonna be juicy.
