This is where you post your songs which you have translated into Elvish.
In all actuality, this is really an archive of what I've done. It'll be small at first (cause I'll have to find all the song's I've translated in the past) but it should grow.
Keep in mind that my translations are not 100% accurate. I have issues with Sindarin sentence structure and conjugations. However, it is the best attempt I can do.
Usually you will see my translations in three parts...
Part 1: Is the original song text.
Part 2: Is the Sindarin translation text.
Part 3: Is the English translation of the Sindarin text (since it must be modified given the limited vocabulary).
Sometimes you may see a forth part to come before Part 1, a Part 0, if you will. This is usually the original text of the song (in it's original language) and you will only see it if the song was in something other than English to begin with. Then, Part 1 will become the English translation of the song and so on and so forth.
Below is a reference guide for the songs in this thread.
The first number is the page number the post is on. The second number is the post number on that page that the song is in.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
All translations (if posted by me) were done by me. I do not own copyrights to any of the translated songs. They are by their respective authors (who will be named within the post). All translations come from a combined source of "Dragon Flame" Sindarin Translator, Ruth S. Noel's "The Languages of Tolkien's Middle-earth", David Salo's "Gateway to Sindarin", and "The Lord of the Rings" books and films.
