I do celebrate halloween,Samhain,'All Hallowtide.

Feast of the dead, when the dead return
The celebration marks the end of Summer and the start of the Winter months.
i like to cook colcannon for Dinner, which for those who dont know boiled potato, curly kale and raw Onions, plus any kids at the table we like to put coins which are wrapped in baking paper and placed in the potato for them to find and keep.
this is to bring them luck for the rest of the year.
Then the fun old carving turnips and placed at the front door and back with a tea light in side to ward off Jack the blacksmith who was a damned soul out to collect peoples heads as his was removed.
Then we tell stories and play games.
Things like Fairies and goblins try to collect as many souls as they can at Halloween but if they met a person who threw the dust from under their feet at the Fairy then they would be obliged to release any souls that they held captive
the kids do love that one
wink lol.
good old apple bobbing
xp and lots more depending on who comes round for the fancey dress party
