The Duchess is a true story that is depressing and some parts are disturbing. Still, I really enjoyed this movie!

Any thoughts?

I really want to see this movie but I don't know much about it...what's it about?

It's about a fairly middle-class girl, Georgiana, who is in love with Charles Grey. The Duke of Devonshire asks for her hand in marriage, and of course her mom allows her to get married to him. He needs a heir, but Georgiana keeps giving birth to girls.

The story continues, and we find out the Duke isn't the great guy he first seemed to be. Georgiana meets Bess, and they become close friends...

I don't want to say too much because I think I'll give it away. It's a very tragic story, but it's very well done.

Well, the book is a biography, so I can understand why it would be boring. lol

Yeah. It's pretty disappointing though... I really love the story and was hoping the book would be great. =/

Oh, and I'm for On Demand... even though Comcast can really suck some times.
