I am currently in the research stage of getting my first 2 minis! I need all and any advice from those of you with Mini Wisdom--everything you can think of!

Make sure to REALLY train them. Even consider bringing someone in or sending them to someone who deals with minis. Mini's are the most bull headed of all equines, spoiled - brat like attitudes from birth and they will run right over you if you allow it. Give them a job to do to. Mini's pick up bad habits when they have endless amounts of energy and free time. A good thing would be to train them to drive, and drive them for a few miles every day - this will also help to keep them thin & fit, as they are also notorious for becoming fat/obese.

I have a question: Does the three-year-old-to-lunge rule for horses apply to Minis, too?
