It's that time of year again. Every store and it's mother has a pumpkin patch. There are skeletons falling out of closets. The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is on repeat. I have a giant bag of Candy Corn. So I demand a Halloween thread nao! Are you guys excited? It's really all I care about for the entire month of October. Which is bad, because this is midterms month.
I already made my costume. I am a sort of gypsy...pirate....wench. It's hot. So now I constantly am thinking about decorating. Especially this year, since I have my own room and can do whatever I want with it. heart There will be cobwebs everywhere, so help me god.
SO: -What's your costume? -Are you a decorating fiend? I certainly am. -Going to a par-tay? Trick o Treating? -Excited about the GAIA event?

@angelkake: yaaay! costume twin.
Anastasia sounds like a great costume too. I've never been able to go as a specific character. Not enough planning/time to execute.
I'm really excited about my costume this year. They've been kind of lame the past couple times because I'm too busy being in school. My last really good one was senior year of high school, when I was a rag doll ( sort of like sally, but not actually sally because I didn't have time to make the wig/dress). I used that puffy fabric paint for the stitches and you could actually feel them. It was cool. I was afraid getting them off would be horrible, but it turned out to just sort of melt away with hot water.

I'm gonna be Dorothy - before city of Oz but after Munchkinland... I do have toto in a basket, and the ruby slippers... lol I have a black wreath hanging on my door for now... I'm waiting for my next check to get more stuff to decorate with. I'm thinking of a Halloween tree... like a christmas tree only all black with orange and purple ornaments... xp After I hand out the treats to the kids, I'll most likely go to a party at my friends place, which she and her neighbors are turning their little section of apartments into a scary themed thingy... I love the gaia events, yes they are kinda cheesy but you see more gaians during events and it's great!
side note... members of my family are all about different holidays... they know Halloween's mine so they let me do basically whatever I want to the place... lol

Halloween is my wedding anniversary, so we were gonna dress as Jedi while we're out on the town celebrating, but I can't afford the fabric necessary to make 2 full sets of Jedi robes crying
I guess I'll do Belldandy again and he'll be the same scary man he is everyday.

Candy corn is an aquired taste, like brussel sprouts or haggis. They're not bad per say, just different. Though no, they don't contain actual corn.

It's like harder than pudding but softer than rock candy sugar. I love the stuff. It's a great texture. AND OMFG KON! If I had a plane, I'd come over there right now spread Halloween all over Australia and come back to my house. That or I'd abduct you and you can live in my brothers old room for the rest of October.
In fact... If a stranger knocks at your door, definitely answer it....
