Entreri and Drizzt run in to eachother again.
What do you think would happen? confused
Would they fight? Would they just ignore eachother? Might they even share words with eachother? Friends??
hmm
Discuss freely, as there is a spoiler warning up.

YAOI!
No, no... nevermind. Pretend I didn't say that.
I haven't actually read all of the Drizzt series, (I just finished Sojourn), so I really can't be certain...
But I have read the Sellswords. Entreri seems like a changed man at the end, so I think perhaps there is hope for him, just as Drizzt says in his journal. Perhaps Entreri will become something more like Zaknafein.
In that case, I think they could even become friends. Or at least have a ceasefire. Or even just an agreement that there will be no more violence between them, and no hard feelings.

Hm... Entreri couldn't be a Zaknafein. I honestly think he'd go after Drizzt again. Because he does sorta think... Never mind I don't want to spoil it for anyone. D :

Abraison, I want to know what you think, because I don't think Entreri would go after Drizzt anymore.

Actually... come to think of it. Maybe he wouldn't. I mean. Entreri is a changed man at the end. But maybe he'd be mad that Drizzt really is still alive and sorta go after him. Maybe. I dunno.

I think they'd switch. Cause you know, they're on equal footing in sword-fighting, so... I'll just leave that hanging. xd

I don't think Entreri would be like Zaknafein. Artmis may have changed, but Zaknafein had his morals for a long time, and years with almost no soul (If you want to call it that) don't just change over long amounts of time. It might linger around for the rest of his life.

Yeah, that makes sense, krevesh. But just maybe if he had a longer lifespan, he could regain his morals. But he's only human.
I doubt he'll ever be the way he was in Streams of Silver again. I mean, just from reading the Sellswords first, and then the rest of the series, I've noticed that he's changed a lot. His attitude really blew me away when I started Streams of Silver, and it almost made me not like him anymore. But I've realized now that he ends up changing a lot, so it doesn't bother me as much.
I guess I'm just trying to say that he changes so much that just about anything is possible.

They'd so tease each other...
Hane and Krevesh, I actually like how Salvatore matured Entreri. Most people don't mature their characters very well and he did.

I think if they were to meet again, Entreri would be slightly suprised, but then not suprised at all. I think it'd be a bitter sort of "I should've known" kind of reaction. Drizzt would probably expect an attack, then Entreri would just not consider it worth the trouble and wald away.
How do you interpret the ending of Road of the Patriarch? There seem to be two basic versions: the one Salvatore seems to intend, that it was a good ending and Entreri is growing, or that it was a horrible ending and Entreri is right back where he was at the beginning of The Silent Blade. I think it's the latter. The last time he decided to return to Calimport was the Silent Blade. He knows what happened last time he returned, and that he chooses to go anyway indicates that he doesn't value his own life anymore.
I would hardly refer to that as "maturing."

I don't know...Salvatore left the ending too ambiguous...and that bothered me. I hope he meant that Entreri matured, but I have an inkling that he's in remission.
