well all, just got done planning out a dive that i should be doing this weekend at the outer Point Lobos wall to 350 feet (106 meters). Me and a few buddies decided to do this just for the hell of it, because it will be the deepest dive for us all. Were doing it open circuit, with trimix backgas, one travel gas, a bottom bottle, and 3 decompression bottles. so ill have 7 tanks on me at once x.x. only for a little while though, we're going to sling the bottles for a little while and drop them at thier appropriate depths and we'll have 4 emergency bottles of o2 at 20 feet as well. for all you nitrox divers, check this out and see if you can keep up:

Travel gas : 32%, MOD 110ft/ 33m {80cf AL}
Back gas : 10% o2/ 70% HE / 20% N (10/70) MOD of 429'/130m {DBL 100cf ST}
Bottom gas : 10/70 MOD 429'/130m {80cf AL}
Deco bottle : 21 o2 / 35 HE / 64 N (21/35) MOD 180'/ 55m {80cf AL}
Deco bottle #2 : 36% MOD 90ft/ 27m {80cf AL}
Deco Bottle #3 : o2 MOD 20ft/ 6m {80cf AL}

KEY:

MOD = Maximum operating depth
HE = Helium
80cf AL = 80 cubic foot Aluminum tank
DBL 100cf ST = double 100 cubic foot steel tanks

those gases are the order that i would use them as well, i would start on the travel gas, go to my back gas at about 100 feet or so, then when i reach the bottom i would switch to my bottom gas till i use up 2/3rds, then switch to my back gas again and use my deco bottles for decompression. If ya have any questions its kind of alot of info, so ill answer anything that you want answered, and remember, if ya want to get into cave, deep, or wreck diving, you'll have to learn all of this!

i have over 1.5 hours of decompression >.< for about a 10 minute bottom time.

probably not, people have seen giant isopods down there, which would be cool, cause there normally at thousands of feet. but we're mostly doing it cause it will break our old record of deepest dive
