User ImageA bar was not the place for a lady, her mother had said.

Unfortunately for the dear woman, it was Eithne's crowd.

It was the best place for her to hunt for information, pick up snippets and even to spread gossip that was advantageous to her cause. Granted, she had just finished a job; the poor Mench woman had been horrified when told her husband was indeed cheating on her with a Koshka dancer. Still, she didn't bother.

There was never knowing if what was heard could be used.

A black cloak was thrown over her usual outfit, the hood covering her orange hair. Seated in a corner, Eithne's eyes narrowed as they identified the regular customers. Not much seemed to be spoken, many were just drinking.

As usual. She frowned, doing so as well. It seemed like it was going to be another of those fruitless nights.

Tony was sitting at the end of the bar, his mask was for once, pulled up resting atop his head. It hung over quite a bit, and with the dim lighting the bar already had cast a very large shadow upon his face. Had anyone wanted to finally get a glimpse of what the mercenary actually looked like they'd have to push their face right up in his, which would have certainly of started some fight or have gotten the other killed. Then of course there were still those darn yellow tinted goggles, it seemed as though those never came off.

Anyone that was paying attention and knew well of the regulars would have known that he'd never been in this pirticular bar before. Or if he had only at extream hours and never for long.

A gloved hand reached out and knocked on the counter, and a beer was soon placed in front of him. He didn't drink very often (it messed with business after all and he needed to be in top shape when working), and rarely ever in public. Tonight he was either meeting someone or he had just finished a job and was quite pleased with himself. It was probably the later.

He took a sip from the bottle, his eyes glancing around at those in the room. Mostly men drinking away, a few women here and there, most seemed like the kind of people he'd get paid to take out, then anything else. He put the bottle down, resting his elbows on the counter. Perhaps he'd up his price for his next job.

Sighing again as she drained her cup, the woman got up, scattering a few coins on the table top. It seemed as though nothing much was happening and she debated upon leaving, a hand resting on the table. But if she did, her mother would be dragging her to try out new dresses, new clothes that she had bought.

Something Eithne did not feel like making herself excited for right now.

Making a face, her eyes darted about, then settled on a rather unfamiliar figure. Brown eyes narrowed.

A mystery, it seemed.

And another reason for her to stay. Lowering herself back into her seat, she signaled for another cup, her hood now resting on her back. Eithne didn't bother with hiding her face; most of the people here knew her for what she was, and one would not want to cross her, with her connections.

The merc glanced out the corner of his eye as the lady at the other end of the bar stood, looking as though she were ready to leave. Tony had no idea as to who she was, nor did he care and his attention quickly returned to his drink before him.

If one could see the look upon his face they would have noticed that he was looking rather displeased, as he felt a gaze fall on him. He didn't have to turn and look. He didn't even have to cast a glance. When you were in the kind of business that he was in you learnt to tell when eyes fell upon you.

He lifted the bottle to his lips taking another swig of the beer.

"
What do you want?" He didn't look over, he didn't even wait for an answer before he took another swig. He was in a decent mood, there wouldn't be any threats tossed out just yet.

Ah, he had noticed her. Eithne was interested, very interested in knowing who this stranger was, but kept her expression innocent, like it was just by chance that she had glanced at him.

"Just a drink, good sir." She answered, grabbing her cup as it was placed down in front of her, lifting it to her lips to drink.
