Here you can post some short stories, they can have morals if you want (then they can also be called fables)
The Fox and the Mouse

There was once a fox who wanted to be a mouse and there was a mouse who wanted to be a fox. One day the fox was looking for food then she spotted a mouse then the mouse said "Please don't eat me, is there something I can give you?"
The fox said "If you teach me to be a mouse, I'll let you live."
"Ok, but can you teach me how to be a fox to."
"Ok," the fox replied.
The mouse teaches the Fox how to be a mouse and the Fox teaches the mouse how to be a fox. However the Fox and the Mouse failed to become different animals. So the fox and the mouse became friends and they felt sad because they can't be different animals.
Moral of the story is: Try to be yourself not someone else.

Hello everyone, This is something I wrote during my English class when our teacher wanted us to write a short story. What do you think of it?
Ever felt like you were being watched but no one was there? It has been like this fora week now and I have no idea why.
"Rachael, are you ok?" Janette asked.
"Yea I'm fine, why?" I asked back.
"You seem to be spacing out a lot lately an-.." She tried to continue but I cut her off.
"I'm fine! Now I have to go Janette, ok?"
"Ok then Rachael, bye," She said waving to me as I walked away.
~5 hours later~
"It's getting dark, maybe I should head home," I quietly told myself as I started walking but stopped when I heard something.
"Hello is anybody there?" I asked as I turned around once again to see nobody there. I turned back around and my eyes widened as I saw an inhumanly gorgeous boy who looked to be about 18. He was smiling, this cant be good!
"Why hello there darling, I have been watching you for a while now, you certainly caught on quicker than the others..." He said calmly with that smirk on his face. Then I began to run, I turned my head to see him still standing in the same place, I kept running a s far as I possibly could. I stopped an looked back to see if he was coming after me, thankfully I couldn't see him so I turned around but he was right in front of me. He can't be human!
"Now now no need to run, there is no chance of escape," he said sounding amused.
"W-what are you?" I asked almost not wanting to hear the answer.
"You will find out soon enough," he said and those were the last words I heard before I slipped into unconsciousness.
As I awoke I thought it was all a dream however those thoughts soon vanished as I realized I was in a place I didn't recognize.
"Where am I?" I quietly asked myself before I got up and headed towards the door. I opened the door to see an empty hallway and began looking for an exit. I saw the kitchen door and opened it, I hadn't eaten in a while so I moved towards the fridge.
"Might as well take some of their food before I get out of here," I told myself before I opened the fridge to see it filled with many glasses containing some sort of red substance. I thought it was odd that there was no food then closed the door and turned around and jumped a little, startled see someone standing behind me.
"Hello there, sorry about scaring you," said a gorgeous boy looking to be around 16. He sounded sincere with a hint of amusement in his voice while I just stood there, not saying a word.
"This is where you are supposed to say 'It's ok don't worry about it' Oh and by the way my name is Zander," He said completely amused.
I was about to say something back to him when the door opened revealing the person from last night.
"Hey Chris," Zander said as he turned his attention away from me.
"Hey Zander, I see you have met the new help," Chris stated.
'These people are crazy if they thin I am going to work for them, I'm getting out of here as soon as possible' I thought as I started to walk away but unfortunately Chris beat me to the door before I could exit.
"Where do you think your going?"
"As far away from you as possible," I said coldly.
"You're not going anywhere!"
"Who's going to stop me?"
"Anyone who can see you could stop you, even if you did get away you would never get home, this realm is far more dangerous for humans than where you used to call home, besides there is no way to escape here as a human. It is impossible!"
Another realm filled with creatures? Is there really no hope of escape? Am I doomed to stay here forever? All the answers await in my near future.

Lol better then the one i wrote for ryan's contest I DID NOT WRITE THE QUOTED PART... ONLY THE UNQUOTED XD Quote: It was the darkest of era. Tragedy has befallen the city of Nostrigo or so it seems. Plastered on the walls were parchments of the Mayor’s plea. 1,000,000 gold was the offer to any brave ones who dared to defeat the mighty dragon which was causing chaos to the people of Nostrigo every full moon. According to the Mayor’s plea, the dragon was fond of the creating-doomsday-for-humans thingy and kidnapped the princess of Nostrigo just for fun. It was not known as to why the dragon did such a thing or was it really due to the influence of violence in video games. Even scientists were still baffled at the cause. Nevertheless, the people of Nostrigo lived in fear everyday. It was hoped that one day, the dragon would be defeated once and for all. Peace would return and the Princess would be able to watch her favourite soap opera again after missing it out for a whole season due to the kidnapping. In the midst of terror, two brave figures stepped up solemnly to take the challenge. Well to be exact, one stepped up while the other tumbled forward after tripping on her robe. But it was still counted as stepping up, nevertheless. “Are you sure you guys are up for this?” Tena the Mayor of Nostrigo inquired in doubt as she stroked her white dangling beard. “Yes.” A solemn answer from a solemn looking warrior clouded with blazing fiery skin. Tena glanced from the corner of her eye, wondering if he was wearing anything such as a loincloth. But she decided not to think about it in depth as her mind was not meant for the gutter. She instead, turned her attention towards the solemn warrior’s partner. “Uhh… I think I am,” the other half of the duo answered rather meekly as if she was unwillingly dragged along to take the task. Little did Tena realized, her faltering answer was due to being distracted by Tena’s white dangling beard. “Okay, cool. Then here’s the map to the dragon’s lair. You are to retrieve the princess and slay the dragon. Sounds pretty easy, huh? Your quest will begin at dawn. As for now, you are required to get into some proper battle gear complete with appropriate weapons. Any questions so far?” “Me! Me! My name’s Koro and his name is Kai. I do not wish to inquire what your name is, dear mayor sir, but rather another thing that has caught my interest. Are you by any chance ... a werewolf?” Koro asked bluntly. Koro received a big blow to the head after that. In the dragon's Cave In the past few weeks many brave warriors have tried to rescue the princess. Many have tried and failed, and their bones now litter the ground of the cave in which the dragon lives in. The dragon was a little wounded, but with the kind princesess's help he managed to recover again and again. And at this time of the day the princess was tending to the dragon's wounds. She did not try to run away even though she could have easily slipped away because the dragon seemed to be in a lot of pain, but she did not seeing as she knew that the dragon would put in a lot of destruction of her town, just to get her back. She already knew this seeing as she tried it once and that was what happened. She instead curled up beside him and fell fast alseep. Back to the heroes meant to save the princess Koro woke up with dizzyness in her head to find herself being dragged along the ground, by who she never suspected to, and it was Kai. She had many bumps in her head, because of her head banging against the rocks but she still found the strength to pull loose from his grip and she whacked him over the head with her rod. She never did like being dragged around like that. Koro muttered the magic words and once more kai was in the shape of a kaya cat. The same look alike of it. Now she placed kaya kai inside her cape to join his twin, which was stuffed of course. She knew that the effects of the spell would wear off eventually. She thought to herself: "hmm i'd rather not be dragged around anyways, I have my own two feet with which i can walk with." She keeps walking but stumbles over one the rocks and kai kaya tumbles out, and he is transformed back. Then there is a chase that follows, as kai is very angry for what koro did to him. Eventually they both grow tired so they go and rest. The next morning they get up really early. They are almost to the cave, they spot the princess just a little away from the opening of the cave. She was getting some water from the well just outside the cave. They called out to her : "Princess!!!". When she heard them she quickly ran into the cave. They tried to follow her in but the dragon seemed to be there again, breathing down their necks. The princess was standing behind the dragon but in her eyes there was not even a pinprick of fear. She told Koro and Kai to run. They did not hesitate at all, they just kept watching her. Despite her requests they decided they wanted to rescue her. Koro's lightning spell hit the dragon.. and then there was blood pouring out of his right eye where he had been severely wounded. Quickly the three escaped even if not all wanted to leave this place. Later that day There was a huge celebration in town because everyone was glad to have their princess back. There was a huge party though the princess did not feel like watching her favourite soap opera. She instead slunk into her chambers and stayed there all day. When dinner time came, when her lady in waitings were calling for her, she was no where to be found, they tried to open her door, but it would not budge. They went outside and saw that her silky bedsheets were all ripped up and tied so that is was a really long rope. It seemed that she had run away, but no one knew the reason why. Back to the princess She did not know why she was doing this but that was what her heart was feeling, she didn't want koro and kai to be hurt, and she also didn't want the dragon to be hurt either. But they had hurt him anyway. She wasn't usually like this: all nice and caring about everyone else. But the dragon had opened something to her, something that she had not realised until now. She decided that she would find the dragon and help him. Depsite how much damage had been done to the dragon he had managed by himself pretty well. She healed his wounds with her magic, and then he was all better but he was still in a bit of pain. Back at the castle After hours of searching the people started to realise with dread and horror of where the princess had gone.She had gone back to the dragon. Koro and kai hurry back to try to save her The scene at the dragon's cave There is a big fight at the cave and the dragon is eventually defeated. The princess is crying for the loss of the dragon whom she thought had taught her.. the right.. she steps backwards and as koro and kai race to get her.. she takes one more step backwards and falls into the lava. The lava eventually swallows her, and she is gone forever

Chp 1: The adventures of Angel, Serenity and the Enchantedbk
Hello there... here is another of my insane stories that you have been waiting for.
Chapter 1: The adventures of Angel, Serenity and The Enchanted book.
Prologue
Legend told that there was such a book that was very magical. It was filled with the very essence of all magic that existed. Once it had been a great book of power that helped everyone who was in need. It granted everyones wishes and everyone was very happy as they got whatever they wanted. Now one fine, sunny day everything was going as usual. You would think that this was a perfectly normal day if you only stayed for the first few minutes. Unfortunately for these poor souls the sky was suddenly clouded by darkness and the clouds were heavy with anger.This was the day that the magical book mysteriously vanished! no one knew what had happened to it.
Many years later
It was night and Serenity was suddenly woken up by a loud crash as something crashed-landed into the wall. There was a loud rattle of cans as the something got up. Serenity got up and opened the curtains and peered out the window. In there she saw the strangest sight of all. She had never seen anything quite like it. There was a thick layer of cloud dust that was outside.Then there was a coughing sound and she spotted what looked like a very oversized book. It was purple with yellow specks shaped like diamonds on it. Inside there was a weathered away bookmark that looked like it was going to break off any moment. Then something else caught her site, she spotted a boy who was about her age. he had short brown hair, and it was quite unlike the other boys in her village. In one hand he clutched a sword that looked really old as the book was. There was a large gash in his white top which was not so white anymore because it was drenched in his blood.
Serenity ran outside and approached the pair cautiously. She was really shy but gradually she regained her confidence and asked if he was alright. The boy just groaned as a reply. What that meant to her was that he wasn't alright. She tore a little of her top off and bandaged him. She wasn't happy about wrecking her favorite top but this was urgent. Someone was bleeding and she could get a new one any day she wanted. She slowly picked him up and carried him inside. At first she thought she would not be able to carry him but to her surprise he was as light as a feather. It was as if he weighed nothing.. yet he couldn't weigh this much as he was of muscular build. The book followed her inside meekly. Once inside she put him down on the couch and slowly cleaned out his wounds properly. For the amount of wounds he had which most were incredibly deep he was lucky to survive. Especially the landing in the cans would have caused him a lot of harm. She watched him in his sleep. When he eventually woke up from his slumber she gushed when he looked at her with his big blue eyes. He didn't look like he was human as she was.. as he had recovered quite quickly from his wounds and there was not a scratch left. Then he opened his mouth to speak.
Boy sad in an inquisitive tone) where am i? and who are you? how did i get here?
Serenity: First off i am Serenity and you musn't ask too many questions or my head will pop. You are in my house. *Serenity hesitates and continues talking* How you got here... but i can show you where i found you.
Serenity gets up and opens the window and points outside at the big rubbish tip where it was still littered with the broken bottles, cans and other junk.
Serenity: (continues speaking) Thats where you landed last night.. the loud crash woke me up from my peaceful slumber.
The boy gets up from where he was lying and scoths.
Boy: hmmpfh where i come from i get no peaceful slumber at all. Its a hassle even getting a good nights sleep you know. Being guardian of this book is no easy job either.
The boy glares at the book. The book sinks its eyes to the floor and stares glumly at the boy with saddened eyes.
The book: Hey... angel i thought we were a team?
Angel: oh shut up! look you got us into this mess, and look who always gets dragged along. (screams) I HATE BEING YOUR ******** GUARDIAN!! DO I GET ANY BLOODY PEACE AT ALL? WHEN I AM BEING CONTINOUSLY HUNTED DOWN!
The book: (voice also rising peak) WELL FOR YOUR INFORMATION, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS THEN JUST GO OUT THAT DOOR WHY DON'T YOU AND LEAVE ME IN THIS PATHETIC HUMAN WORLD WHERE I WILL BE IN THE WRONG HANDS.
Serenity: (calmly) shh.. you two no need to start a fight at this time of night. We don't want to be alerting unwanted people here.
The book and Angel instantly shut up. They didn't want to be found out. Both of their lifes were in danger.
Angel's history was not a good one. He was left without father or mother.. only as an orphan with a rusty old book. This book was called the enchanted book. Together they encountered many dangers. As angel grew up with the book by his side, he started to resent the book being so attached to him hence he was acting that way. He didn't want the book or the dangers that accompanied it. All he wanted was his old life back when his mother, father and sister was around. When it was that time he was the happiest person in that town. Unfortunately one night some meeklings came along and destroyed everything including his family. Only Angel and the book managed to escape their grip and now they were continuously on the run from those evil creatures who wanted the powers locked in the book. Thankfully for the good of the world the evil creatures needed both the guardian (angel) and the book to unlock its secrets. Angel was considered a key..
The enchanted book's history goes back a long way. Over the years that it had been missing... it had passed into hands of both good and evil. Much blood shed had happened. Eventually it wound its way to Angel and his family. The fact that so much blood had been shed really shows us how so many people are desperate to get their hands on it. Even one tool of good can turn into evil... when it is placed in the wrong hands. It passed from family to family until each one was completely destroyed. It would have moved on by now if Angel had not survived. Consequently the book gave its guardian's power and all the strength imaginable but as a price of all this the guardian was always in danger and the book also sucked some of the guardian's soul to use to fuel itself. Gradually the guardian's soul was sucked away and then they became nothing and the book takes control over what once guarded it. This was only after the time that the book was first stolen. Before the book was stolen it was a tool for the good but now.. it gradually turned into something of evil.
Back to the story
Suddenly there was a rumbling as another loud crash sounded through the building. This time it sounded something bigger was here. Serenity got up and peered out the window. Angel and the book silently followed her. They wanted to see what it was but Serenity was blocking the way. The gasp that they heard from her probably told them what she say because she suddenly fainted and then the glow from the thing came into the house. It was a gooey greenish glow if you were only plain human you would not have known what it was and it always makes you gasp and faint if you see it. Angel catched her before her head hit the ground.
From the midst of the dust arising you could here voices arising... One sounded almost like a man... but almost like and alien... and there was one high pitched voice... which was occasionally stopped by a slight gurgling sound emerging from what appeared to be its throat. (Angel and the book listened attentively)
The one with the high pitched voice speaks up: "Hurry.. hurry we must find them.. i can smell them they are very close to here..."
The one with the man/alien voice answers: "Where abouts? i can't sense them"
He is answered with a smack on the head from the one with the high pitched voice.
The one with the high pitched voice: "Oh you FOOL! I cannot believe i had to put up with you..you... you...
(starts shaking fist)
out of all the people... me Gamini the Great has to put up with a bird-brain like you.... Monroe...
heh it is such a plain name... but then again its good enough for such a plain one like you..."
Monroe replies in a really irritated tone and whacks Gamini back: "Oh says you who wasn't the one who found...."
Monroe is cut off as Gamini grabbed him by the cuff of the neck and thrust him against the wall. More dust goes around and the wall shakes rapidly as if it was going to fall onto them.
Gamani: "Now listen here you little twerp! I know that you got us here... but seriously in that dump! *points to the garbage that once was in a neat pile but was not scattered all around* oh and look at my beautiful perfect skin *gives a cold glare to Monroe* look... look its all wrecked now."
Monroe: "Oh will you shut up... with all your complaining this will get us no where... and look i found them"
Monroe points to the window where Angel and the Book are... Gamini now diverts his attention away from his skin and looks where Monroe is pointing.
Angel and the book notice them looking their way and duck to hide from their cold glares.
Gambini mumbles something to Monroe... it is so quiet that you could not hear the words that they exchanged between each other. By the time that they lifted their heads.... Angel, Serenity and the book were already escaping through the night sky with the book's magically conjured wings.
The end of chapter one =)
Will they escape successfully or fall into the hands of Monroe and Gamini... What is the true nature of Angel and this mysterious book? you'll have to read chapter two to find out... which i haven't worked on yet XD
