So, someone in my life has recently become kinda like... Jacob Black in the series...
Not like... He's a werewolf kinda thing, either. (I wish, maybe then things wouldn't be as complicated.)
More like... He told me he loved me... (the only difference between Jacob and him is that he has too much respect for my boyfriend and therefore won't fight for me in a sense)
So now I sympathize with Jacob sad and I feel so bad for betraying our Edward. I totally don't deserve to be on the team, it's just that now I truly, truly see how Bella could also be in love with Jacob.
How do you choose between someone who you think is perfect and someone who is your soulmate?

There's no easy way to choose.
So i'll give you the advice i hear on TV ... follow your heart ...
And now i'll give you advice. my words. not TV.
I'm only going with the descrptions you gave out. The perfect guy. Is he the perfect guy for you? Or is he just the perfect bestie?
And your soul mate? If you think he is your soul mate. Why bother asking?

ah well.... do you love your friend as a friend or more first off?
Secondly, if you're with your soulmate why even ask this question?
Seriously, just because someone is in love with you doesn't mean you need to feel obligated to love them in the same way even if they're your bestie.
If you love them like a friend then there's your answer.
