well, as explained in CC, Genesis, Angeal, and sephiroth were best friends. Sephiroth was always considered a hero by the media. He was strong, but didnt say much. Genesis always thought that Sephiroth was given too much fame. He believed all of sephiroth's fame should of been his because he believed he was better. Genesis was obsessed with Loveless because he began to notice that the story in loveless, was similar too HIS life. Just a bit too similar. Genesis tried to compete with sephiroth hoping to be better than him, to outshine him.


Now i havent played DoC but what ive said is what ive gotten from play CC and completing it three times. thats all i know for now.

i know this may sound ridculous and u probally wont belive me but its a theory. yes genesis felt like sephiroth got way too much fame then he deserved and yes maybe he is right but i have a theory that sephiroth and genesis are closer then it looks. one theory is that sephiroth and genesis are related because at the end of DOC genesis picks up weiss and calls him brother and im only basing it off of hair that is all because of the silver hair (yes doubtful but u never know). zack and genesis seem kinda close sorta so you may never know about that. another is the definite fact that you have no clue about cloud's family at all, meaning something but probally nothing. remeber these are just theories and plz dont get mad at me for any of these. if you can help me in any of these plz message me or post on this k?

Ok, many people have posted some things that are right and others that I know are wrong. First, Genesis and Weiss are not related, and that would not make a relation with Sephiroth. DoC was not one of my favs, payed attention to the story a little bit and started to think a little when I saw Genesis. Mainly because Gackt is awesome...... Anyway, at the end of DoC we see Genesis holding Weiss, call him brother and fly away. If I remember correctly Nero was Weiss's brother and had the ability to inhabit another body or something of the sort. This is just a theory, but I think that Nero was in control of Genesis and was using his body to escape with Weiss and do some stuffs resulting in another game, explanation of some kind or something.

Ok enough of my theories.

Next, as far as Genesis himself as a character in Crisis Core, yes he, Angeal, and Sephiroth were best friends, other people who posted explained this. Genesis was created with G cells which were basically second generation Jenova cells. Genesis's mother was injected with Jenova cells and then had Genesis as a child afterwards. While Sephiroth, was implanted into Lucrecia with Jenova cells directly. Lucrecia doesn't have any in her. I can't remember exactly but I believe Angeal was made a similar way, don't know exactly because I only played the Japanese version of the game and can't translate everything yet.

Genesis begins to corrode and deteriorate, hence the whiting of his hair and clothes, and you can see cracks in his skin and whatnot later. This was because Genesis was an incomplete test subject, and he went after Professor Gillan, his creator, to force him to help cure him. Then he found out that Hojo discovered a way to do it and went after him. In doing so he learns of Sephiroth's creation and reveals that to Sephiroth later at the Nibleheim reactor. Of course, you all knew that.

One thing that was difficult to pick up on, was at the end after you defeat Genesis and leave him sitting by that chair, and those two people come to take him away in SOLDIER uniforms. If you look closely the one who picks up Genesis has silver hair. That person is Weiss. I would believe the other was Nero.

That is about all I've gathered and theorized about Genesis. If I'm wrong hopefully someone will let me know, and let me know which cutscene I need to re-watch. Hope this helps.

Wasn't Gillian Angeal's mother? Collaboration with my sister (not my sister named Gillian, although that would have been intresting) says that a woman named Gillian (Project G = project Gillian) was injected with Jenova cells, then gave birth to Angeal. Genesis was inserted into her uterus as a fetus. All of this was done by Professor Hollander.

Ah, that's right. I confused Gillian to be the professor XD. I remember the name Hollander now. Gillian was Angeal's mother. I can't remember exactly what they did though. Bah, I got all the cutscenes saved on my comp. Should just watch them and find out.

Okay, Genesis is awsome, so is Angeal and Sephiroth... (Why did they all have to die?) but i have a question. What is the deal with Kadaj or Luz or the other remnant, or even some other silver haired dude carrying off genesis near the end of crisis core. that kind of confused me. Any explinations?????
