The one Fertility ritual I know of is one that you do after you are impregnated (i think) and its the leaving a colored egg (ether blue or pink, depending on the sex you want the baby to be) at Ostara's temple.
I would like to know if this ritual is real, and if there is a way to change the goddess to Bast.
I remember reading somewhere that its the same, but its colored milk...I don't know, I think I dreamed it. But I would really like your help ^^

Fertility rituals are for getting pregnant rather than staying pregnant. As for boy or girl, that's already been decided, so there's no real point in making a bid for it after the fact...
All rituals are real. Some make more sense than others. Personally I'd ask Freyja for fertility help rather than Ostara, but then I suspect Ostara to be another name for Idunna.
Different deities and cultures call for different things in ritual. It makes sense to leave a coloured egg as an offering to Ostara, but not for Bast. Bast may indeed prefer milk. Course, at this point, you'd be wanting a "bringing up the kids" goddess rather than a "let's have lots of sex" goddess to bless your child. I am not sure whether Bast would be the best goddess for that sort of ritual, but then I don't know her well.

well, I was thinking that since my baby is sexless at the moment, to human eye...but whatever...I'll still love my child all the same ^^
Bast is a mother goddess, thats why I was thinking her, and I just thought of offering her colored milk

the color of any egg shouldnt matter. The blue and pink thing came around in the middle ages to protect male children and throw the girls to the demons.
What you should really think about is how to make your surroundings work in your favor. Your intentions make the real difference. The goddess will supply anything you need.
Bast is a wonderful choice for a patron during this time. She will protect the baby through thick and thin but she wont help you decide the sex. If you want it one way or the other the best thing you can do is to burn either masculine or feminine charged incense or eat certain herbs that have a charge one way or the other. keep sage around and burning when you are relaxing to prevent any bad influence and hope and pray for the best.

I personally am not ready for that sort of fertility in my life so I can't really work on any ritual. My fiance and I are simply not ready for a child at this point. While we have said some prayers, it's always bee with the "if this is the right time for our lives to be blessed with a child" so the Gods know if it's the right time or not if you ask for their help in this situation.

Do you know what sort of offering and ritual you would have for this? I have in my mind some thoughts about how a Blot would work for this, but was wondering if you had any ideas on the matter. As for what deities, I don't know. If I were thinking of doing a ritual to prepare for being a mother I'd probably do a Blot to Frigga and the Disir as well as other mythological/saga characters in Norse Mythology.

For something of fertility, I'd probably get something like sweetened milk and ask a goddess associated with pregnancy or fertility and ask them to bless it, then drink it every day until I got pregnant, or something similar.
I can't think of anything in choosing the gender though.
