I understand the elements as being categorized into 4: Fire Air Water Earth
And while in a previous post, I have stated I have more afinity with air, meanwhile liking earth, I'm prone to understanding the elements as couples rather than pure elements. For example, I don't believe one can work with just Fire. I believe one is either working with Fire&Air, Fire&Water, or Fire&Earth. For example, I think conviction would be a trait of Fire&Earth, or Earth&Fire, while open-mindedness may be a trait of Air&Water or Water&Air. I like to think deities are this way as well. And to say one works primarily in the elemental kingdom of Air, I take that to mean Air&Fire, Air&Water, and Air&Earth.
Of course, there are a million different ways to understand elements, I just thought I'd roll my idea out there. Does anyone else have an unusual way of organizing the elements? Because I would love to hear them!
[edit] I just glanced at the topic concerning zodiac and elements again, and it made me think... there being 12 zodiac works remarkably well with this weird couples take I have on things. Of course, so could a hundred other things I suppose ^_^ Just got excited and had to share. Like I would suggest maybe Gemini is Air&Earth, Libra is Air&Fire, and Aquarius is Air&Water. I hadn't even considered that before.

And Capricorn being a sea-goat, is Water and Earth. Your coupling idea is similar to my contrasting elements go together theory....except better lol. They explain MercyWild's use Water and Earth. It's an interesting concept, and a good one. But some might use a "Pure Element" too (ie, Just Water or just Earth), ne?

It's true, everyone has to base their outlook around their individual styles, strengths, and needs.
