Hi, I'm steam punk rhapsody! You may remember me from such guilds as this one. Today I'm here to talk about: SPOILERS AND YOU!! Wikipedia defines a spoiler as: wikipedia A spoiler is a summary or description of a narrative (or part of a narrative) that relates plot elements not revealed early in the narrative itself. Moreover, because enjoyment of a narrative sometimes depends upon the dramatic tension and suspense which undergird it, this early revelation of plot elements can "spoil" the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced. Now you may be thinking; 'What does this have anything to do with me?'. Well, you may soon become a victim of spoiling, or even worse ARE A SPOILER!!!
Heroes is a very dramatic show which has a great amount of reliance on suspense. The effect given off by this helps give the show a fresh new twist on things you have never expected. When you spoil a twist or shocking event in the show, it's not fun for anyone. The post below will show give you a Q&A on spoiling, spoilers and what to do.[+]

Welcome back! Today we would like to answer some Q&A from you folk out there in the interwebz land!
Q: What about the spoiler sub-forum?
A: Any spoilers in there are free game. Go in at your own discretion.
Q: How do I know if I'm spoiling something?
A: Well, it should really be a matter of common sense, awareness and timing. If you're not sure whether or not you are spoiling something, put a spoiling warning up anyways, just in case.
Q: How do I avoid spoilers?
A: Again, this relies on awareness. Normally, there should be a warning, but in this guild, it is a slightly tricky case, in which you should stay on your toes at all times. In the next post there will be more about avoiding spoilers. As well, avoid the spoiler sub-forum.
Q: Should I report if someone spoils anything?
A: There isn't a need to report a spoiler, unless they are a constant offender of the situation. In which case, tell a moderator and we'll deal with it in what we see fit. Other than that, POLITELY, tell them that while they may not consider it a spoiler, they should still put the warning out, just in case.
Q: If something is spoiled for me, what should I do?
A: Don't get angry at the spoiler, even if the spoil was intentional. Your best option is to occupy yourself quickly with something else in place. Try not to think about it at all (easier said then done)[+]

HOW TO PROPERLY SPOIL
A good way to warn people of spoilers, is with a spoiler alert. A spoiler alert could be a picture, animation or even OBNOXIOUS TEXT that catch the readers attention. Most effective are the colors red and Cyan. Please keep it within the guild rules though. Have fun with it and make custom ones.
As well, make the spoiling text white so that they have to highlight the text before reading, that way they don't even catch the text with peripheral vision!
Lastly do not quote spoils. The color of the quote boxes are not white, therefore it reveals the spoiler and makes it easier to spoil.
Do any of these and you won't get yelled at or reported! =D[+]

HOW TO AVOID SPOILS
-Before reading the first post, press CTRL+F and then search up spoil or the word of a certain topic you don't want to be spoiled. As long as there's one search result then it would be advised to click the back button.
-Look for any spoiler alerts. These should be a must have in every spoiler, but be careful. A spoiler to you might not be a spoiler to someone else!
-DO NOT highlight any white text. It WILL be a spoiler.
-On the day of the episode avoid any new topics or episode topics until you have seen the current episode you are waiting on.
-If there's someone you find that has a vast knowledge of Heroes and seems to point out things that may happen which come true (psychic maybe?) Try and avoid reading there posts.[+]

Congratulations! You have just passed SPOILERS AND YOU! Your diploma will be in the mail. Its invisible though. But any Spoiler Alerts created by you to show what you have learned will be shown here to our future students so that they may use, lament, baste and be influenced by! =D
