Am I allowed to post my own topics?
Okay. Maybe it's just me but in every CLAMP manga I've read so far, someone looses an eye! Then they end up with an eye patch or being blind, or even eating someone else's eye!!!! Maybe I just haven't read enough of their manga yet...but still...they have a thing with eyes right?!? Please don't tell me I'm just crazy!!

I think I heard that one of them (Ohkawa, I believe) lost her eye. So it's sort of like an homage to her...? 8D; I'm not 100% sure, though. sweatdrop

I know what you mean. There's a lot of duplicate plots running through their mangas. I've read most of their work except for like 3 of them.
Someone is missing an eye in Wish. Same in X. And others.
I just think that the manga-ka's LOVE to torture their characters. I know I would.

3lyen There might also be some kind of symbolism behind it but I can't think of any right now. I think that is what it is too. It probably has a deeper meaning to it. Like how important your eyes really are, since in most of their manga they make the eyes the most important thing to someone like how Fai's magic was his eyes other things like that

Eyes are the doorway to the soul? (Or is it the heart?) Like, in WISH the giving of the eye was a symbol of love; in TRC, Fai's magic was in his eyes... Shaoran sealed his heart in Syaoran's eye... Something like that maybe?
But yeah, ubazakura, I think you're right. I remember reading something about one of them having really poor vision/no vision in their right eye.
