I need tips and advice! I thought this would really be the best place to get some =) I just recently (Sunday) got my septum done and I love it. But my boss wants me to take it off for work immediately because he doesn't accept any piercings at all. It's only been a week and I'm scared to change it now because of infections and failed piercing tales I've heard before =/ But I also don't want to get fired! My ring is kinda long (kinda like the Ω shape) and I wanna switch it to a small one that I can flip into my nose to hide it. What do you guys think? Please and thank you!

When i got mine done, i got a ring with 2 balls so i could flip it.

Its going to hurt but you can do it if you do it fast =S
It also may bleed, but since it's only been a week that;s expected...

and ask the guy to switch if for me >_O

to heal? I've only used a q-tip dipped in soap
and water but I'd like to know if there's any other ways.

I used a Q-tip and dipped it in warm sea salt water ^^
Notice sea salt not table salt.

Even though i have to have the ring with the 2 balls, i adore the [ Ω ] shape you have. Those are so much cuter =/

The one I have is too long but I'd surely put it back in if I ever did change it =))

A clear glass retainer would be best. No worries about allergies to metals, easily flipped up and even if it's down it's not nearly as noticeable as the Omega you've got in.

It'd be best to consult your piercing as to how to get it changed properly, especially considering how bloody new it is.

Bosses are bitches. and it looks super cute on you, btw. good luck!

I know hte symbol is Omega, is that what the ring is called as well?

This type of Pincher, is this easy to tuck up too?

Yes, it's an Omega ring.

Pretty much anything that is open on the end is able to be flipped up inside the nose. The omega ring you have in can also be flipped up, but it will hurt and bleed.

To clean it, use the soap and water like you have been using twice a day and then do the sea salt thing Pixie said. If you can find H2Ocean anywhere, I suggest that over your own mixture, the balance of minerals in it is perfect for piercings.

Also, if you take a small bottle of saline solution around with you and Q-tips it can help you clean it on the go.
