This here place you can talk about some movie stuff, I dunno Me Crazee now. xp *ahem* Sorry about that but it should be fixed soon. Anyway what I meant to say was this is place where you can just talk about movies you've seen, reviews and anything else movie related.

So to start off I'll talk about I, Robot which just opened here about a week or so ago, which I saw opening weekend. For an action sci-fi movie it wasn't too bad. Quite predictable in parts, I knew as soon as I saw his scar at the beginning that he had a robotic arm, that Sonny was pretending to turn bad towards the end, and that the true mastermind behind the whole thing was the master computer as soon as I saw it. But overall it was quite entertaining, and better than I thought it would have been. Quite a few cool quotes in there, especially the allergic to bull$@#% one.

lol, That was my thoughts too, I wanted to go see Spiderman 2 instead but my friend refused so we decided on that instead. But yes I do see that movie going the same way as every other Wil Smith movie, big at first then played to death on tv release.

I think I'd rather run off to some desolate plot of land and not see a movie than get dragged into that instead of a Spider Man flick.
I believe I shall review "The Last Days of Frankie The Fly." Maybe on Tuesday when I'll be home. Stupid work, must it be so horrible?! crying

It's allright for a no brain cgi trip. But it's extremely predictable.

Time for my review. Today's featured film is:
The Last Days of Frankie The Fly
1997
Country: USA
Rated: R (for strong language, sexuality, and some violence and drug use.)
Length: 96 minutes
Starring: Dennis Hopper, Daryl Hannah, Michael Madsen and Keifer Sutherland
The Story: A lowly mob go-fer named Frankie "The Fly" (Hopper) is tired of being kicked around by his boss, Sal (Madsen). He decides it's all gone too far after he becomes close to porno actress Margaret (Hannah) and sees the way she's taken advantage of. He devises a plan with porno director Joey (Sutherland) to rid himself of Sal and save Margaret, but will it all work out? And does he have the strength to take on Sal?

The story is cliche and it looks like a straight to video flick, which is exactly what it is. A shame really since it's not a bad film. It has some great actors who do a fantastic job with what they're given and create a memorable little fun film. But the fact that the director isn't well-know and the plot has a few holes makes it a B-movie. An exceptionally entertaining one at that though. I recommend it to crime film entusiasts such as myself or if you're a fan of any of the stars. It's not for everyone as it is a bit on the weird side of mob movies but it's worth the rental price. The soundtrack is great and there is some memorable dialogue. A guilty little pleasure. Why is this not on DVD? gonk

hmmn haven't heard of that one. Sounds interesting, and it being a straight to video flick with all those A-list celebs sounds weird. I'd check it out if it was on dvd.

Like I said, I liked it a lot. At first I was kind of confused by it in some way, I didn't really get it. But the more I thought about it the more I liked it. I told my brother it was weird so he asumed I meant it was bad but then I said it was good so he said it was only because Michael Madsen was in it. xp But it's fun, it's a cool little flick. It sukcs that it's not on DVD. I mean, that one Britney Spears movie is on DVD so why not this?
I think it's straight to video because it's not exactly marketable. I don't think it would make an impact at the box office because it's not for everyone.

yeah it's odd how soooo many bad movies are allowed on dvd, while there are still soooo many good ones that haven't been touched

yeah it's not a typical Carey role, as he's playing an actual person.

Cool about the Scorsese set, probablly be another 5 years before it's available here, if at all

hehehe watched Monty Python's Life Brian for about the 10,000th time, man that's a funny movie. I love the guy who always disagrees with whatever the crowd is saying, like when Brian's Mother asks them all to go away and if they understand, everyone says "Yes" and then you hear this quiet quiet voice saying "not me" or something to that effect, cracks me up everytime.
