no look Bogus Island up if you want It has quiet the history, It was called bogus Island because it was a base for counterfeiters when my State was still nothing but woods and marsh... here is a link to a story about it... http://www.kankakeevalleyhistoricalsociety.org/schmal/bogus.htmI may be a good story teller but it's not like I sit around thinking of lies to tell everyone and personally I feel hurt you even question my integrity cry

Forgive Midget, Jaden... that just goes to show that our generation indeed does not know everything. That is seperately, now when you put us all together, then every person has something of to contribute. I'll read about Bogus Island later, but thank you for the link. As well as being an active member...
Can someone tell me what the heck is up with quotes thingy and why it isn't coming out right.

sweatdrop Sorry if the word 'Bogus' in any myth/folkloreish name makes me question it. I've always seen the word 'bogus' as something teenagers said in the late 80s, early 90s. Then again, what do I know? The only book on obsolete English I have is too old to have that kind of information.

Random myth time! Gypsies used to believe that if you kept a pumpkin or watermelon for longer than 10 days, it would turn into a vampire and roll around, terrorizing the living. It was the same for unused garden tools.
