Lately I've been having dreams that are more and more real. And it bothers me because I'm starting to notice things like time and large amounts of words and numbers from my dreams. Most recently I had a dream where I was completely aware of the passage of time for at least an hour. It takes several minutes when I wake up to realize that I am awake and not dreaming. I'm still able to wake from outside stimulus but It feels like I'm living two lives one here and one in the dream world. Should I be worried, if so can I do anything about it? Can I take advantage of these lucent dreams, should I? Any ideas are welcome being that I have very little expertise in the realm of dreams.

You know, I've had quite a few dreams like that. Not necessarily in realism - of course they seem real when dreaming, but at least half the dream is obviously silly and unreal once I wake up. But I have had dreams that go on and on and on, and then something happens - the phone rings, my alarm goes off - and at first I am still dreaming, but it is a very gradual waking up until I realise that 'no I'm not at the bar and no my parents are not home to answer the phone and oh shoot I should answer the phone!' biggrin (just happened yesterday actually).
If you feel they are that much like real life, though, it is quite possible that you could be dreamwalking (not sure if that is a correct term, but I'll use it). I suppose another term would be walking the astral plane. Is it possible your spirit is leaving your body when you sleep, and walking around at night? That would certainly explain the realism, but I would think you would see your body sleeping if you were only a spirit.
It is also a possibility that you are dreaming of the future. Isn't that how Nostradamus came to have his prophecies?
