Figured I'd ask, out of curiosity. Anyone here play the game?

If you do play it, what color(s) do you play? I play Red currently, as Neo-Zeon is strong in board control. And that's always a plus.

Doesn't seem very gundam-ish to me. Seems more.. pointless.

I played Gundam Encounters in space and it was tough! It didn't have much for a story though.

I play white only I used the SEED genre to beat the WING genre.
I only have the starter set that I bought at AX.

I am looking forward to getting it and playing it. I had the starter sets for the old Wing one from years ago and always wished I had picked up the 0079 boosters when I saw them the one time that I saw them.

The new game is much better-made than the old MS War was. It's more involved and complex. One thing that is a bit of a downer is the fact that the translation team seems to not be paying attention to already-established names and phrases and trying to come up with their own, and the result is that card names and quotes are often messed up; this will be fixed by the release of the next set, I hear.

That's a shame, this game has good mechanics ... I still play Magic occaisionally, and used to play Decipher Star Wars, Magi-Nation and the really old sets of Pokemon before I grew into Magic. But I'm really enjoying Gundam War.

Ophi, can I just recommend that with two copies of Op. British in your deck, you should run four or five colonies as ammo. It betters the odds mof making it a viable option. Otherwise, all you've got is small units -- nothing over a turn 3 drop to deal good damage. When the turn 5/6 big guys from White hit the table, you'll be creamed. British gives you the power to destroy them before their big'uns hit the table. 3nodding

That's why I have "Exclusive MS For Ace" in my deck. Those bastards are stackable. Combine that with a character, and my cannon foddery easy to field cards become BEASTS.
