Hello and greetings all.
I am sure some of you have noticed that zOMG beta has been released within certain account age groups. With this being said, I want to help this guild be the very best it is with special information that will help everyone become better at zOMG and help us, The DFG, become a stronger guild that can run more operations revolving around rings, loot, and special items you can acquire throughout the game.
I am not so much of a teacher in this class as I will be and adviser. If anyone has information to help better this class and help better your fellow DFG members.
With that.. I'll go over the basics and some tips.
Rules for posting: When posting, put a header for what area you are in (depicted on the loading screen) An example would be: Village Greens.

The Basics
Well first and foremost, when you start off the game you are subjected to go through the tutorial. This tutorial starts you off in the train then places you in the sewers where everyone is basically learning how to play.
I am not going to get into the nitty gritty, since everyone has to play through this to get to the actual world aspect of the game, but I will go over easier ways to control/maneuver through the aspects of combat.
Moving is the same as through towns, with the change that you can not only "click" the mouse to move around.. but use the "wasd" controls that most MMO's use. I actually prefer using "wasd" because this opens up your mouse for selecting a monster to attack.
"~" key is your friend... this key allows you to switch targets without having to hunt for them with your mouse to click... making combat a bit easier. At the same time using the number keys for attacks is much easier than clicking, which makes sure you're using the correct attack that you want. (this applies when clicking.. if you click to use your attack and you have a healing ring equipted.. it will use the healing ring instead of the attack)
In the beginning (after some tasks) you are given 3 rings. One an attack, one a healing, and the last a buff. (all buffs are allies only)
Important When playing, make sure you complete the sewer first! Once you exit the sewers you are now done with the tutorial and can now not only access servers when you sign on, but also you are now able to access your rings through a null chamber.
The null chamber (there is a quest when you get out of the sewers to go there) allows you to add charge orbs to your rings to upgrade them and add new rings to your hands. You are only allowed to upgrade your ring and/or take them off within a null chamber. So don't let your orbs go to waste, placing them in rings decreases cool down time and boosts their attack/buff/healing (Plus it helps raise your stats!).
Also, zOMG is very team oriented. Teams (or as they call them "Crews") help a lot when engaging in rough battles.
Another aspect with teams is Gh'i. I'm not entirely sure what this does yet. But I can see that when Gh'i is full, your health gradually grows and vise versa when it is not. You can increase your Gh'i by visiting a town when it's low or staying within a crew. (More on this later)
I'll add more stuff in later... when more people show up. 3nodding

Barton Town Quests
Once you get into Barton town.. I suggest talking to all the NPC's and doing their quests.
You may argue that some of these are "not fun" since no real attacking of monsters is to be had with a good portion of these quests (or rather at this point anyway) HOWEVER almost all quests reward with Charge Orbs upon their completion. So don't take them too lightly especially if you're caught in a tough spot. (and it helps you before you head out to the Village Greens)
Barton Town Quest List (will update periodically when more quests arise/information gotten)
Interviewing NewBea Step 1: Speak with Cindy (Southeastern corner) Step 2: Cindy wants you to interview a girl named NewBea. You can find her wandering around the fountain. Step 3: Return to Cindy after the interview for your reward. Notes: Finishing this quest opens up Interviewing James. You don't have to accept the next quest right away if you don't want to. Special Rewards: Recipe: Rolled-up Newspaper
Interviewing James Step 1: Speak with Cindy Step 2: Cindy wants you to interview the Guard James by the Bar. Step 3: Return to Cindy after the interview for your reward. Notes: Finishing this quest opens up Interviewing Julian. You don't have to accept the next quest right away if you don't want to.
Interviewing Julian Step 1: Speak with Cindy Step 2: Cindy wants you to interview Julian by the well. Step 3: Return to Cindy after the interview for your reward. Notes: This is the end of Cindy's quest chain.
Olivia's Cookies Step 1: Speak with Olivia (Leon's Mom) (Southwest by the Guild House) Step 2: Deliver the cookies to these three guards, John at the North Gate, Martha at the West Gate, and William at the South Gate. Step 3: Return to Olivia with the empty cookie plate. Notes: You can deliver the cookies in any order you choose.
Fernando's Secret Step 1: Speak with Fernando (Southwest by the Guild House) Step 2: Discover Fernando's Secret. Perhaps there is someone in Barton Town with a computer-like memory. Step 3: If you wander behind the guild house you'll come across an android conveniently named Anniedroid. If you talk to her she'll tell you all about Fernanado's secret. Step 4: Go back to Fernando and talk to him again and you'll receive another quest, Fabulously Flying Fernando.
Fabulously Flying Fernando Step 1: Speak with Fernando. Step 2: Locate a pair of zipperless pants. You can do this by talking to Rufus. You may need to talk to him a few times before he'll give you a quest (Diary of a Cat). Step 3: Once you are done with Rufus's quest and have gotten the zipperless pants, return to Fernando with the new pants to finish the quest.
Diary of a Cat Step 1: Speak with Rufus (Northeast, between the Arena and fountain) Step 2: Rufus will tell you he lost his diary by the well in the northwest area of Barton. If you walk into the trees behind the well you should be get a red message on your screen saying you found the diary. Step 3: Return to Rufus to receive your reward. Notes: If you are interested in saving time, you might want to do this quest at the same time as you are doing The Lucky Coin.
The Lucky Coin Step 1: Speak with the guard named William at the Southern gate. Step 2: William will tell you lent his Lucky coin to Alma, but she used it to make a wish. He tells you to go look by the fountain and the well. Step 3: Go walk around the fountain and till you get a message telling you you found the coin or you should look somewhere else. Step 4: If you get the 'somewhere else' message, head up to the well in the northwest corner. Step 5: Once you have the coin return to William for your reward. Notes: Can be done at the same time as Rufus's Missing Diary if you want to save a little time. You can also go to the well first and then the fountain.
Ellie's Friends Step 1: Speak with Ellie (Below the arena) Step 2: If you talk to Ellie she'll tell you that the light is just *perfect* for painting right now. She asked you to go make excuses for her to her friends Agatha(W) and The Maestro (NW corner). Step 3: Speak with The Maestro Step 4: Speak with Agatha Step 5: Return to Ellie to receive your reward. Notes: Always speak to Maestro first. Talking to Agatha first will cause the Kin's Trials to break.
The Null Chamber Step 1: Speak with Elizabeth Step 2: Now go to the crystal spire in the Village Greens by heading straight south from Barton Town's South Gate. Touch the crystal there to be transported to the Null Chamber. Step 3: Talk to the Null Chamber guardian (Trixie) and learn about moving rings around, upgrading rings and more Step 4: Now power up a ring with at least one orb, using the knowledge that Trixie shared with you. Notes: Feel free to stick around the Null Chamber and charge up your rings beyond just 1 orb before you head back to Elizabeth. You only need invest one orb to finish this quest.
Leon's Lunch Pail Step 1: Speak with Olivia Step 2: Go find Clara at the South Gate and ask her if she knows where Leon is located. Step 3: Clara says that Leon is probably near the North gate of the Towns area down in the Village Greens. Head through the South Gate into the Villages area and stay on the road heading south. Once you get to the walled area farther south, you should see Leon there. Step 4: Leon's glad that you brought the lunch pail he had forgotten. He asks that you take the empty pail back to his mother, Olivia, the next time you return to Barton Town.
Denial of Service Step 1: Speak with Ian Step 2: Ian is afraid the master of the house in Dead Man's Pass will enslave the animated in the pass. He is specifically concerned with the most powerful monster and asked you to defeat it before it can be enslaved. Step 3: Head to Bill's Ranch and then into Dead Man's Pass. Follow the path heading up and walk up to the gate. Defeat all 6 waves OMGs then the OMGWTF will spawn. Kill the OMGWTF and return to Ian. Notes: It is recommend you go with a group and have a CL of at least 2, 3 being better. Special Rewards: Recipe: Ian's Hat
Barton Regulars: Mark Step 1: Speak with Mark Step 2: Agree to help him with his tasks. Notes: During the Halloween Event you will not be able to do any of Mark's quests.
Mark's Ring Step 1: Speak with Mark Step 2: Mark lost his ring near Bass'ken Lake. Walk along the shore to find it. Step 3: Return to Mark with the ring Notes: It has been reported that there are several possible locations to find the ring. Just walk along the edge of the lake until you find it.
Re-Composing Step 1: Speak with The Maestro Step 2: The Maestro asks that you return sets of notes you find to him so that he can puzzle out to which songs the notes belong. Step 3: Collect 6 music notes from the Taiko Drums in the Zen Gardens. Step 4: Return to The Maestro for your reward. Notes: This quest is repeatable. Complete it 7 times you you'll get the Re-Composing Badge.

Village Greens
Okay... I'm not going over all of the quests in Village greens, but I'm going to go over some helpful tips.
For the beginning of the quests in Village Greens the bases are located to left of Leon. Try not to go down where the side of the Towns area is, anything below that is a slightly higher level (which is where you should go for Remo's quest list)
Remember, the courier gnome is the gnome with the blue hat and the lieutenants have yellow hats (and higher levels to boot)
Groups are important for tackling minibosses and bosses, because as long as you attack them, if someone in your team kills the boss then it counts on your quest list. (also for farming groups are good to get those pesky mushroom tops)
Gnome General The gnome general is one tough cookie when you go and fight him for the first time. He inhabits the purple mushroom hut near the bottom left corner of the map. (closer to the second low path toward Bill's Ranch)
A well balanced crew is the best to have here. Casting buffs can be a life saver, along with a high Gh'i.
To trigger him, you must kill every monster on the screen. Once you've done this, the alarms will go off causing the Gnome General to come out with about 5-6 Gnome Lieutenants.
Use Rage attacks and focus on him, you can try to kill the lieutenants first, (depending on your CL, if you could deal with them easily or not) but it may not be the best strategy.
You can usually get someone with a higher CL to come (friends who have been playing for a while are the best IMO) since some people are willing to help lower players in need.
