I found that after playing with different, newer ideas, I can return to my old methods and strengths with greater experimentive creativity. Lately, I have been working a lot with invoking and shapeshifting, though the latter is rather new to me and I have a TON of things I need to work on. I am finding that I have no problems in letting other energy in (as I really never had), but unfortunatly, I encounter my same problem over and over again: control. I have a difficult time controlling how long the energy stays with me. I can't keep it with me for long periods of time, and in fact, I finish with a sense of complete exhaustion. Perhaps it is my own personal energy crash that cripples the longevity. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? How do I increase my 'endurance' in this sense? The only thing I can seem to come up with is, "practice makes perfect," but man am I pooped! It also occurs to me that perhaps I am letting too much in, but if this intensity is desired, how am I to maintain my energy? I don't stay completely exhausted for too long; it takes a couple hours of idling or about 30 minutes of focusing and gathering, but one's focus cannot be detained permanently. Maybe a subconscious programming method would be most effective? Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Well one idea that comes to mind is breathing exercises. I know you mentioned them before too and they do help with energy work alot so I would think that if you looked into the specific types of breathing in yoga it may help you gain a measure of control over the enery flow.
Another idea that occurs to me is that instead of charging up at first find something to continually draw from, like a plant or something, as you do your work try to visualize the flow of energy from it to you in a thread form and allow it to feed into you in a steady stream. That might help the hang over feel afterward, because that way you aren't charging way up (like a sugar rush) then crashing its more of an even distribution.
I hope I understood the question right and that these help to some degree.

Thank you very much Mercy. I think that the visualizaiton of the thread of energy shall be quite a useful addition to my process. ^_^
