I think it is a solid idea to try to work around these international dates, but there are enough of them that I don't think they can do it every time. I think it hurts attendance and tv viewership too when MLS goes against these dates.

A bit ago, the commish said he was against trying to schedule too much based on these international dates because they are prime dates and that attendance would suffer if you had games during the week instead of on the weekend.

They already said that they wont be able to do it EVERY single time, but they want to do it on the dates that a LOT of players will be gone. the international dates that'll have maybe one or two players out from the entire league wont matter too much.

the international dates is good and bad. coaches need to have the depth to handle that in the first place, but we also wan't to see good players on big games.

I think the depth thing does come into play too. Some teams need to bulk up and be ready to play without a few guys. Even if you were not going to lose players to National games on certain dates, you need to spread out the talent on a team

that's the thing though. there isn't enough talent to be able to bulk up the teams in teh US yet. all the talent we have go to europe to play. that should be the case so that we don't have so many crappy games cause all the good players are on international leave, but right now it's really not feasible.

Realistically, our main talent pool will always be Europe because they are more people over all who play over there. Over here, more people play football, basketball or baseball and go into those sports.

Anyway, just in general, MLS teams need more depth

Yeah i know. Itll be a LONG time before the US can compete with Europe, if it ever happens.

As long as soccer in the states strives to be better at soccer, I will be relatively happy. 3nodding
