I discovered Mana thanks to Aimee Major, who drew sketches of him in her book Japan Ai. heart

The first time was in a Chat Room...but I didn't think too much about him, seeing as how it was 4am...Our own Miss Cohcho actually had me sample some music. ninja

I was a senior in high school and some of my sister's friends were really into J-rock. One day, one of them played Ju Te Veux live (Merveilles L'espace version) on their computer. I was hooked on Mana from then o.o'
(edit: really good thread, btw)

I discovered him when i was 15 and an anime addict. XD
I was flipping pages through a magazine about Japanese culture (with mainly alot of anime in it) And there was an article about Lolita. I thought the clothes looked interesting so i went to that page. And on that page i saw pictures of Mana and an explanation of who he is and what he does.
And since then i was hooked. ^^

I noticed him after watching Malice Mizer's music video of Gekka no Yasoukyaku. I instantly asked my friend "that's a man isn't it???" don't ask me how I knew that, I jsut had the feeling. But since then I've really liked who Mana is and what he stands for. smile

My friends, who had heard Malice Mizer, never told me about them so I had to discover them myself. XD I think I was getting a bit into Gackt and then found Malice Mizer that way... It's been such a long time. o_O;
To this day, It's a rival between Gackt and Klaha eras. XD

I discovered him a few years ago when I watched my first Malice Mizer film clip. Needless to say, I feel in love with him and Malice Mizer. Shortly afterwards I found out about Moi dix Mois and Moi-meme-Moitie. : D

Hummm. I had downloaded Malice Mizer's music and like it a lot. I never really search much into my music so I didnt really know about Mana yet. One day, one of my friends said I just had to see this guy who was like super girly yet beautiful, since we both we're hugely into yaoi at the moment. When I saw his face, I couldnt help think I had seen it before, but I loved him ever since. ^.^ heart DixLoves|~

I discovered Mana-sama during a search of visual kei artists for my sister's senior project, where I stumbled almost inadvertantly over Malice Mizer.

I don't think her teachers liked it much though...I don't think they really get the whole cosplay thing and they may choose to not let her graduate because they're imaginationally impaired.

Oterys I don't think her teachers liked it much though...I don't think they really get the whole cosplay thing and they may choose to not let her graduate because they're imaginationally impaired. They should be judging it on how well its put together and her work (research, how its presented, etc) not on the subject of the content. >.<

I know, but she said they weren't thrilled at her topic, and implied it might be ridiculous...even tho someone else was doing theirs on hamburgers...
If they'd given her more time she would have given them a presentation including EGL outfits and manniquins, but she only had a month (everyone else had at least 6) so if they don't pass it there's going to be a fight.
