Welcome to the Ranger station! So your here to study the elusive and cunning Cougars.. be warned thay are dangerous and shy, you might scare off your studie subgect.. get as much info as possible on this species and above all else do-not disturb the subgects unless in iminent danger! That is crutal. Currently we are: Looking befuddled

Setting:
The station is set high on the side of a mountan, its situated between territories, you will find many of the tribes close at hand yet far enough away as to not be disturbed by Ranger activities.
The building is set partaly in the hill side and is huge, the exposed half is almost entirely windows looking over the forrest and mountains.
There is seating, housing and suppies of 500 or more rangers.. this is where thay all hang out to compair notes and just get a cup of coaco.
The Station is currently in:
Winter, Seasons greatings fall like the snow.. a fire and hot cocoa is always being served!.

Ranger Leonis: He slowly made his way inside looking around. "Hurm..." He settled his pack and made his way over to the board looking at what was going on and what was being looked for currently. "Huh.... a cougar..." He shrugs "Well maybe the'll be interested in hearing about that snow leopard I saw down in the forest." He makes his way over to the couches set before the wide windows and sits gazing out at the beautiful landscape the leaves just beginning to turn colors.

Vaes`tse moves slowly up the path leading to the station, squinting slightly at the warm lights ahead. Some waft of cocoa reaches her nostrils and they flare slightly at old reminders of things long forgotten.
Scuffing her worn leathers over the dirt, she arrives and pushes through the door, closing it almost silently behind herself as she takes in the where, smiling to herself as she moves more in.
Helping herself to the apparently public serving, she cradles the cup in her hands glad of the warmth and aroma. Looking over at some... Ranger, she inclines her head and takes a seat nearby, sipping slowly, her eyes flickering once, her clock settling around easily, so much a part of herself as it is.

Leonis looks over at the female nodding his head a little bit. He doesn't say much having not seen her before but then this is a fairly new facility and most of those in the wilderness are used to working on their own. He smiled and sipped the hot cocoa.
After a bit though he would get up and walk over to where she was sitting. "Hello there." He sat his cup down on a table and stuck his hand out to take hers in a grasp.

Folding her warmed fingers around the man's, she looks up into his face and smiles more openly, inclining her head before answering. Not one to be overly shy, she is, however, somewhat out of her own territory and determines to tread carefully. She wouldn't want to... ruffle any feathers. She smiles further at the thought, even as some small breeze carries an echo of dark wings.
Good evening. And who might you be, and what is this where? My name is Vaest`tse. I have come some distance and am unfamiliar with this area entirely. I must not have been paying much attention to my own wanderings...

He smiles a bit a rare grin and showing of teeth. "Aye tis a beautiful place and tis easy to get lost in its wonder" He smiles. "I am Leonis, an observer of nature and the creatures that live in this area. This place..." He smiles breathing in the faint scent of the cedar wood used to construct the building. "This place has been called the Ranger Station. It is a place where we who are out there," He makes a wide sweeping gesture to the whole of the outside through the glass windows. "can come to relax and recharge." He smiles. "We are ever in search and study of the fascinating creatures and beauty that live just outside of the grasp of most."

Listening quietly, she nods a bit as he speaks, letting her eyes wander as he gestures and explains. Her heart leaps in her chest, her spirit perks, hearing his explanations. A where after her own loves... how... fated.
She feels as if she is waking slowly, coming out of some hybernation she can barely recall. Her own love of nature, her own beginnings and roamings and life, flash now and then as she, too, takes in the smell of the familiar wood, the forest, the air.
I see... how very fortuitous for me. Imagine. And I just wandered in, from... somewhere.
Laughing under her breath then, her eyes twinkle as she regards him more closely, sipping the cocoa once more as she removes her hand from his, to again grip the cup with both.

He smiles and nods his head. "Aye we are fortunate to have this base camp here. I myself just reacently finished a bit of time in the Mountains and am getting ready, regrouping but I think that I have had enough of the mountains for a while. For while they are quite beautiful it is beginning to get a bit colder up there than I really prefer. I think that I will head towards the forests." He smiles getting a bit of a starry gaze as he gazes down the rest of the mountain side at the large forest below. He picks up his cup and gently sips some of his cocoa.
He stays silent for a while then turns to look at the female. "It gets kind of lonely out there sometimes." He says nothing directly trying to hint just a little at possibly teaming up and working together.

Giving him her attention she smiles and nods her understanding as he goes on. When he is finished, she turns to look out the window, a wistful expression lingering for just a flash of a moment. Ah yes... everything. The forest and mountains, swamps and sand, rivers and sky... everything has its own inherent beauty, she knows.
She turns back to look at him again, studying his face and arms, his legs and colour.
Lonely is a matter of perspective, you know... but I do understand. Perhaps we could go together for a time. I make no promises, mind. I could be there and gone with no notice at all.

He nods his head a bit. "True... I suppose lonely really is all a matter of perspective... but still..." He smiles a bit and sets down his mug extending forth his arm smiling abit intent to clasp her in a warrior handshake. One where you gripped the forearm of the one you are shaking with. "Twill be good to have someone else to share my observations with and to discuss possible meanings without having to come all the way back to base. Speaking of which..."
He gets up and walks away from her heading into another room. He returns with a piece of paper and sticks it under the piece of paper asking about the Cougars. He lets them know that on the way here he spotted a snow leopard... in the forest. He will allow the original querant to make what they will of it.

Setting her mug aside, the brew finished, she returns his grip, digging her fingers lightly into his arm before pulling away and folding her hands in her lap. She watches him write without curiosity. This time.
I have some knowledge of nature, I would be happy to go with you and discuss what we will. Nevermnd if I tend to drift in and out, or disappear in the night. I will not leave you entirely without warning. If you find me gone, wait... I will not be long.

Ranger Dragoil: Came into the main room after hearing two voices talking, she smiled "Hello Leonis, cheking in are we?"she then nodds to the new commer "Hello! I'm sure you have been welcomed,Yes? I'm Ranger Dragoil, most just call me Dragoil. Did I hear right will you be joining Leonis on one of his studies? Then welcome to the Group!" she nodded to Leonis"Dont forget to write up a Expidion form if your going in a group Leonis,we need to know who is with whom for the files."she winkedand picked up the empty cups "I'll just refill these for you two, are you staying long? Rooms are in the back, I'll get two keys if you like." she was happy to have company, being head caretaker of the station and lodge was quiet at times.
