lol anywhoo, everyone can contribute to Alexandria. We value a mix of opinions and open mindedness, as well as strong convictinos for the truth.
Meanwhile, we are looking for various people to be new crew here, with specific jobs. One of those jobs is what some mgiht call "Fire Martial Bill". Their objective is to cope with the flaming.
What flaming? Well, lets just say that there is a 50/50 chance of some of the General Discussion/Extended Discussion people coming here, and posting more, and some will (as occassionally has happened in the past) attempt to impose their paradigms, dogma, or faith upon others.
Stating things as fgact or opinion, as a core system of beliefs, of dislike or like, similariity or difference - these things are acceptable.
When Ethnocentricism, Discrimination, or Derrogatory Statements are perceived, actions will be taken.
Ethnocentricism is when a person begins a conversation with the presumption that some aspect of their culture is absolutely superior over all others (common with religions as well as races and nationalities)
Discrimination is applying prejudices negatively toward an individual or group with the excercise of power. Its very similar to the opposite of Nepotism
Derrogatory Statements are those in which the target of conversation is made to feel weaker, smaller, ignorant, stupid, inferior, or otherwise depressed OR angry at the speaker. This aspect as written is very vague, but you may also know it as "FLAMING" or Trolling for attention.
Noire's Policy as a representative of several bodies within many groups, numbering thousands, and as a theosophical representative of myriad religions & ethics, individuality is not an option. While the ability to retaliate exists in technical form (locking threads, deleting posts, banning members, etc.) - it is not within the Job description.
