Recently, Novarki 13 of 1907 ["November 13, 1907"], a huge hoopla between the vampiric race and the human/non-vampiric beings begun. The origin of this feud started in the town of Weslik {found on our home-planet of Peridge} but has spread further in the last few weeks, considering that it is already Decedez and the battle continues to rage.

This battle began with a vampiress named Resselia Korvenie. She, as well as many other vampires of the town, could live in non-vampiric society (assuming that they took non-physical daytime activities or taking nighttime activities) because the vampiric society of Weslik could have about two weeks between blood feedings and their skin did not fade unless there was more than two weeks between the two feedings.

Resselia was simply going about her daily activities on that fateful night, working a night shift at a cabinet-making factory, when her fangs grew in front of a group of coworkers. She typically could control her cravings and her fangs {considering the fact that she had fed five days earlier} but something caused her to lose control. How could a vampire (or vampiress) lose control of his/her own functions to reveal him/her to the society?

Resselia was attacked and killed by her coworkers due to fear of the vampiric race, which caused the vampires to attack the humans. It is now an all-out war between the vampiric and the non-vampiric races. There may be a few in between, but almost all those that are between the two races are considered traitors to their own kind.

How does this affect the multi-cultural families?
How will this change the town of Weslik and of the planet Peridge?
Will the town simply destroy itself?
Will the vampires find another way to resist the attacks of the non-vampiric beings?
Will the vampires find a way to keep their identity hidden for their own sakes?
Will the humans be able to find an "antidote" to the vampire genes?

The Non-Vampires

* Gaian Name: MaverickShin
* Character Name: Ein Standrich
* Gender: Male
* Race: Human
* What side are you on, vampiric or non? Ein is strongly anti-vampire.
* Your appearance [Preferably through tektek.org/dreams, please; plus description]: User Image
(Nothing on tektek came close enough to Ein's coat, so I'll just have to describe it sweatdrop )
Ein is a lanky young man and 6'2" in height. His arms are disproportionately long; they each extend more than half of his body's height. To hide his arms, which he considers freakish and unsightly, he wears a coat with extremely long and baggy sleeves. The openings of the sleeves and very wide and floppy, and the coat itself is black with a flame pattern running down the sleeves. His weapon of choice, a katar, pokes out of the sleeve's opening when drawn. Ein always wears his coat open, even in the cold.
* Your preferred weapon(s) [No guns!]: Katar
* Bio [a paragraph (or so) saying: what you have done in your lifetime; if you're going for revenge; if you've lost a loved one recently due to the battle; etc.]: Ein grew up in a town several leagues away from Weslik, where vampires ruled the night and struck fear into the humans after the sun set. His arms were always longer than usual, and he was habitually teased for it, lowering his self-esteem substantially even from a young age. Is vampires are wont to do, a group of wild vampire punks began randomly taking humans even out of their homes, and killing them not only for their blood, but just to watch them suffer. The regional lord of the bloodsuckers was a cold-hearted beast who encouraged the kidnapping and murdering.
Ein's family was one of the unlucky targets. Ein was about 8 years of age at the time, and was deemed worthless because his small body didn't contain enough good blood. Left alone as his family was dragged away by hooded, nameless thugs, Ein could only stare.
Even though the other villagers banded together to take care of young Ein, his traumatic experience left him in a manic depressive state. He became increasingly violent and irritable, rapidly changing from a quiet, kind, self-reserved boy to a monster who would beat down his opponents without mercy. Whenever he was teased about his physical malformation, he would attack whomever insulted him, even if he was far outmatched and outnumbered.
As the years passed, Ein's skill with fighting became more refined, and he began using his arms to his advantage. He could attack out of his opponent's range, gaining tactical advantage. The stronger he got, the more fights he picked, and the more fights he picked, the stronger he got. His physical prowess boosted Ein's waning self-esteem greatly, and he began to see the martial arts as a way to rebuild his character and life.
Growing unsatisfied with street fights, Ein took up a more dangerous art: armed combat. His weapon of choice was a katar, which added on to his already-existing style of fighting and didn't require him to have to re-learn much. At about 16 years of age, Ein had transformed himself into a machine with only one goal: punishing the vampiric race as a whole. He was clever and resourceful, and could have easily made a good life practicing some other trade, but over the past 8 years, the haunting memory of his kin's massacre resided in his mind.
Over the course of two years, he systematically launched surprise attacks on any vampires who drew too close to his village. By taking them by surprise, he was able to prevail in each of his assaults; yet he knew he wouldn't be able to best the physically powerful vampires in one-on-one combat.
Ein was 18 years old when the incident at Weslik occurred. Upon hearing it, he saw it as a chance to band together with other vampire-hating humans and lash back out against them. After saying his many thanks to his adoptive family, Ein set out for the civil war zone, with only one thought on his mind: bloodshed.
