I have an odd question....why would Max give up his son when he knows the kids an alien? What happens when the powers start kicking in and there is no one there to tell him whats happening or help him? Isn't it a disaster in the making?

What happens when the powers start kicking in and there is no one there to tell him whats happening or help him? Isn't it a disaster in the making? Well, the kid could have been human. And they actually said that Tess said that the reason she came back to Earth is because Kivar rejected the baby as his heir because he was completely human. Tess just mindwarped Max into thinking that the baby was being killed in the Earth's atmosphere so that he would leave Earth. And as Liz said, since they are both half human, there is a 25% chance that any kid two hybrids had would be totally human. I just thought it'd be great if (if the show did continue, of course) Max's kid actually was half alien. It'd be great when his foster parents go through the whole pigeon thing that Max's parents had to deal with.

I've given up on a movie or second series with the original cast ... but I've been hoping for a 'next generation' idea. biggrin Not just Zan but maybe the offspring of the other characters -- actually I've been writing a fanfic on the idea. 3nodding

The kid was human that is why Max gave it to his foster parents. The government would have never been able to find anything from the kid genes nor anything else.
A new season would be really cool, but without the old cast is a big time if.......Not to put anyone down or anything since it could really turn out great. You know what else I would really like to see is their home planet.

it's described in the books but who knows how it would it change for the series as a lot of other things did.
