 Kayo wiggled his rump as he had been stalking a bug and now prepared to launch a pounch attack on the poor bug. grinning, he launched himself and squeshed the poor bug beneath his paw. " muwahaha i am the strongest!." having a goofy grin on his face now, he wanted to be big and strong like his father when he grew up. lashing his tail about, he now was in search of another bug to be his next target since he had no one to play with at the moment. he had wandered off to play but not very far as he knew if left the area that the pride he was in, that hhe would get into major trouble or even get hurt.

 Ayo was still recovering from her wound and what it had done to her body, even though it had been so long ago now. Her leg was getting stronger but occasionally it would fail her suddenly or a deep throbbing pain would run up her leg. At this time Ayo had taken to watching her son play, keeping an eye on the children had been a welcome chore, if only because it kept her mind off other things.
Ayo flicked her tail slowly from side to side and smiled as she watched Kayo squish bugs under his paws. He was so adorable and small now but it wouldnt be long before he was a full grown lion. Akin, one of his older siblings was still out exploring the world, and she dearly wished the best for him out there. They grew up to quickly, she thought to herself.
"Kayo" she called out to him. "careful which bugs you attack, some will fight back and might hurt you."

Kayo's ears perked at his mother calling at him and gave a grin at her. " Ok mom." smashing one last bug easyly, he was rather done smashing bugs that he would imagion where fierce enemies that he was battling. running over to his mother, he skidding to a hault in front of her still grinning innocently. tail flicking, he was really a mix of his parents and he was proud to be their son. " your alright though too right?" being a bit of a protective son even though he was still young, he had not liked seeing his mother having a leg wound.

Ayo chuckled to herself as he came scampering back towards her. Bracing herself as she could tell he wasnt going to fully stop in time, she moved her body to wrap around him as he skidded into her and licked at his neck and cheeks. "ha ha, my plan worked and I've got you now. No escaping your mother!" she said as she gave a playful growl and nuzzled him.
She was touched that he was so conserned over her, and it was something that she had been living with since before he was born. She grinned at him cunningly. "I'm fine dear, after all I managed to capture you didnt I?" she said and playfully batted at him. Play time was enjoyable.

" AWW MOOOOOOOM!!!" Kayo whined but he actualy loved the attention he was getting from his mother and nuzzled her back while also giving a playful growl back. " mmhmm!" pawing at her for batting at him, he was childish an innocent right now as he was only a young cub who didnt have a care in the world besides his loving family.

Ayo grined down at her son as she smothered him with licks and purred. She fought against his tiny paws as he tried to push her away. It was of corse not use, as she was much bigger than he was and she was bound and determined to give him a good bath reguardless of if he wanted it or not. Cubs would be cubs, and male cubs would be in the dirt and mude in no time flat.
Perhaps it was futile, but she wasnt abou to have a filthy cub running around...all the time.
She smirked at him as she gave one final lick across his cheek. "You taste good enough to eat." She purred at him and moved to give him little nibbles.

Kayo squirmed about and wiggled even if it was impossible to escape his mothers grasp which he just made this a game. not caring about how well bathed he was, he fought against his mothers attempts at cleaning him up which he was just going to get dirty again. " moooooooooom im not food!!" laughing, he nibbled at her leg lightly. " you taste goood too." grining, he enjoyed playing with his mother.

Ayo laughed and let her son go, allowing him to scamper away if he wanted. She rolled over onto her side and gave a deep and exagerated sigh. "Oh but what am I to do, my son doesnt want to spend time with his mother." She gave a few dry sobs and another deep sigh before covering her eyes with one of her paws. "Woe is me!!! All my children are off in the world and dont think enough of their parents to come by. "
She peeked at him from under her paw, just enough so she coul watch he didnt go to far if her ploy didnt work.

Kayo sat and stared at is mother and got wide eyed at what she said. couching and giving a wiggle of his rump, he went to pounce right on top of her side grinning. " mooooooom don't be like that. i'm not going anywhere." laughing, he was a happy go lucky cub who loved his parents and had no plans to leave though he did love to explore on his own.

Ayo giggled as he came running back at her and pouned on her side. As he did so she rolled over and snuggled up against his soft cub fur. His fur had not yet come corse and was still very fine, fluffy and soft. "Oh Im so glad to hear that!" she said with a giggle.
"So Kayo, tell me of your latest adventure!" she said as she laid there and watched him. Her tail flicked softly in the grass as she waited for him to begin.

kayo laughed and wiggled a bit as he was snuggled up against his mother. now comfertable, he purred and grinned up at his mother and was happy to tell of his little adventures he would gone on when he explored the pride's lands. " weeeeell i saw this huuuge bug yesterday!!! you should of seen it mom, it was like as big as a rock!!!" ofcourse kayo was being silly and made the bug out to be bigger than it had been but he wanted to make his adventure out to be something awsome. "and i faught a huuuuuge snake which i won!" puting a paw over his muzzle he snirkered as he had seen a snake once but never got too close to it since he had been warned not to mess with them though he had been tempted.

Ayo smiled at her son as she nodded in mock astonisted glee. She knew his stories where only stories but in his mind she was sure it was as grand an adventure as he told her. "Really? Big as a rock you say? Thats quite a big bug! wernt you scared dear one?" she asked him with a tilt of her head. She lightly frowned at him at the mention of the snake. Snakes could be dangerious, while it was true bugs could be as well she feared him getting hurt by a snake more.
"Well I am glad you won my son, but be careful with snakes. They have foul tempers and would bite you as soon as look at you. So just be careful and choose your battles wisely." she said with a chuckle and a nudge.

" yes!! and ofcourse i wasn't afraid mom cause im strong!!" Kayo wiggled more and was all gleeful his mother was enjoying his little story that he had to tell. " i know mom.... i will be careful" pawing at her with one of his paws, he snuggled closer to her as he was happy with having one on one time with her with out his siblings about. purring, he gave a small yawn as he was suddenly becoming a bit tired and very comfertable as well.
