I don't know what to do, I'm part of GSA at my school, and the teacher who is the president is gay. His partner is our technical director. What's the problem?
I can't look either of them in the eyes. I'm comfortable being around them and I don't really care what their sexual orientation is, but I just can't look at them! Anyone know why?

ucallingmeaplaya Well seeing as they are like 30 they look good for their age, but to me they aren't my typr that I would drool over Maybe it's a subconcious resentment of homosexuals; did you have a bad experience as a child? Or maybe you just can't help thinking about dirty gay things when you see them, and thus find it easier to not look at them? I dunno really - those are just two shots in the dark. sweatdrop

That's like the "YOUR GRANDpARENTS ARE SEXUAL BEINGS, TOO."
I dunno, if it were me, I'd be pretty sure it's that I wouldn't want to imagine what they're doing outside the classroom. But you just get used to it, I guess.
The fact that you're concerned about your reaction means that you'll probably get over it. smile

I'm pretty if you see them enough you should eventually get over it, so don't worry.

i have an older friend who is gay, and although he talks about all the gay dirty things he does, i find him easy to look at.
Remember that teens aren't the only people who need sex.

I always found it awkward to see my teachers as a couple, too. Gay or straight, doesn't matter. It's weird thinking of teachers having lives outside of school, let alone having sex xD

It's weird thinking of teachers having lives outside of school, let alone having sex xD I had a really cute English teacher once. And I had no trouble imagining him in relationships outside of school. Or inside of it for that matter.

It's because they are older. You can't accept or realize the fact that this generation isn't the only one that has gay people in it.
I'd also say that the fact that they have revealed something personal about themselves to you is the reason why you have problems around them.
They aren't any different then your fellow gay friend sitting next to you.
