Laena hung by her fingertips from the tree branch, clear air stretching away underneath her feet. What distance to the ground, then, eh? 15, 20 feet maybe? Nothing. Seriously, it was nothing. Just let go.
So she did.
A familiar lurch in her stomach, a grin coming unbidden to her face. Then, WHUMPH! Laena rolled, tail over head, through some well manicured bush. It reduced the impact, but she still had the wind knocked out of her. Laena came to a rest, sprawled in a flower bed, and rested for a second before giving out one derisive laugh. HA!
"Easy. Way too easy, seriously." she laughed, examining the small scratches from the fall on her limbs. She looked up towards the moldy, crumbling mansion. "Ya need a higher wall, snobs! Or ya need to cut down that tree."
Now to business. Brushing leaves out of her hair, Laena wandered across the beautiful grounds of the mansion, stopping to pick flowers here and there from their beds.
The mansion itself was impressive. Old. Castle-ish. The birds that live here had to have money. It was just up to Laena to persuade them to give her some of it. Then she could afford the new parts for her board.
She avoided the main door. It was a big, elegant affair. Wood and iron curlicues. Laena wanted the workman's door. Big places like this had something like that, right? Probably in the back.
Lo, and behold, she was right. Carrying her motley assortment of filched flowers, she knocked on the humble door in the back of the mansion, and waited for a response.

Rennoa had been playing with her brother up until he was taken up by their maid. She huffed. Growling and striking the air right in front of the maid. Then she scampered off.. to the back. Where she could hide away until her brother came out again- Escaping the cloches of the evil maids of their home. When she ran, she was looking back and tripped. Falling forward on her tree and head first. "Uff~" She squeaked and got up quickly. Her dress was soft soft creme color, with ribbons in about every place you could imagen with elegance. SHE on the other paw, really didn't care that it got so dirty that it looked like a commoner. Rennoa's black eyes grew when she caught sight of another. What looked like to be a mechanic or someone from the city.
One of the other maid's going to get Rennoa.. Slowly walking and damning all for having to take care of such a troubled child.
Getting to her feet she stood there in a blank stare. Her eyes saying 'what are you doing here? who are you' - but no words came out. Just the simply stare of conversation. Her tail, fluffed with bells and ribbons at the end of it.
The out stretches of the mansion- the roots from the tree found through the ground.. Some ground even lifted because of such a big tree! The maid stopped. "Miss Rennoa?" She called- seeing that the child did not move FOR ONCE. Was- there something wrong? "Miss?"

The door was answered by something about half Laena's size. What? A kid? Laena took a long look at the little thing, who seemed to be drowning in ribbons. The little thing was taking a long look right back. Laena laughed, squatted down, and held out the bouquet.
"Have some flowers, kid. Picked fresh." she said, wiggling them a little, as if she was playing with a pet. "I'm Laena, an' I'm here to ask if there's any odd jobs about the house what need doin' by an able body. Ya wouldn't happen to know, eh?"
