So, have you got any problems or just questions regarding this game? Look no further! Post that here and may someone else come to your aid.

I know this sub-forum isn't very active but whenever there's a new game, it sees a bit more activity so...

My copy of OoE arrives today so, I may come after a while and post myself. 3nodding

wth? this game is actually pretty difficult! I've died a ton of times and I'm not too far into the game....

What are some good glyph combos that I should look for? I've got a light and lance combo that works out alright, but there's gotta be something better...

I suppose it IS somewhat more difficult than the previous ones but it's worth it. Or at least, that's what I think so far. I went past some mountains the other day and I'm about to enter a new area.

Some good glyph combos you can try are accessible after the minera prison island. You should level up a lot if you don't plan on dying often (At least I did after facing the giant skeleton at the beginning of the prison). Sometime after that, enemies drop some good glyphs so be ready for them. 3nodding
If you want a lot of info, you should head over to gameFAQs. They have lots of info on Glyphs there.

Yeah, I've tried to stay away from any guides on this game because I want to beat it without a whole lot of help.
I've actually gotten pretty far since my last post, and after fighting ---Possible spoiler alert----
albus, and I got that giant cursed ball of doom attack(I forget the name), I feel like the game is too easy! I overpower all of my enemies with it. I'm sort of breezing through the castle I'm in now, and it just feels really strange. Like, the difficulty curve just shot down because of this new move I've obtained. I'm sure it won't been too effective on the next couple of bosses I fight, but it still feels really cheap.

By the way, do you know how to obtain that wind looking glyph in the Tyemo Mountains? It's the one on that platform that you have to use the Magnes to get to, and there's wind that blows you off. I can't seem to get Shaona to stay long enough for her to absorb it.

I see... it sounds cool. I don't want to advance too much yet but I'm sure I'll get to the part you mentioned. 3nodding

BTW, I think that in order to absorb the glyph you are talking about, you need to get to the minera prison island and get to a room where lots of winged skeleton fly about. If you notice, you can't reach any of the platforms unless you have the double jump and, once you do you should be able to save a villager and get a "Tower Ring". Try wearing that ring after getting to the platform with the glyph. I haven't done so yet cuz I just got that ring myself, he-he. sweatdrop

Hey KB! That's not the way you do it, you dummy! xd I went to gamefaqs and some guy by the name of "Kirune" said this:

"There are two ways to get this glyph. It's called Pneuma. It's really not that important of a glyph unless you're going for 100% glyph rate.

The first method is the hardest. Go to the top platform and use Magnes to attach to the diode above the glyph. That was the easy part
The hard part is timing the pull JUST RIGHT. I find it easiest to hold down the LEFT button and letting go of the Back Glyph button (the one you have Magnes set to.) Hold down the UP button as soon as you let go, and if you have timed it right, Shanoa will begin absorbing the glyph early enough to complete it before she falls.

The second method is the easiest. Leave the glyph alone until you get to Dracula's Castle. You can find the "Hanged Man Ring" somewhere in there. Use a map from the FAQ or Guides.
Once equipped, this ring eliminates the hang time from landing. By the time you get the ring, you should have the Double Jump. So:
Go back to the top diode, use Magnes to attach to it. Launch Shanoa and double-jump back onto the very edge of the platform and immediately hold the UP button to absorb the glyph.

TL;DR:
Method One: Time your Magnes launch right, don't pull Shanoa back all the way.
Method Two: Get the Hanged Man Ring from Dracula's Castle. Equip it and double jump in case Shanoa falls off the right edge of the platform after launching."

I had no idea how to do that but I guess I'll have to try it out... rolleyes

THe Glyph Albus gives is called Abaceratus (or something like that) when he yells "Glyph in the Bullet!" you can pull the glyph away from him and take it, that stops the attack since he didn't absorb the glyph. there's only 2 places you can get that glyph: Him or from an enemy in the secret area where you have to fight Jiang Shii

Also if you want some really fun you should look for the Death Ring: while everything can kill you with only ONE hit no matter what you do it raises your stats rather high. use 2 for double the power It makes Bosses TONS easier and lets you slowly pick apart their strategies (I can now kill every boss without getting hit that's how many times I died)

I had no idea that was what he yelled out. I could never understand what he was saying in the first place.

I guess two death rings might be cool to try out, huh?

Is the game good? I was thinking of getting a copy myself but I want to make sure it's a good game before I spend the money and the time on it
PostPosted: Tue Sep 01, 2009 3:41 pm

Well, it depends on yer personal tastes I guess but if you ask me, in my own personal and humble opinion, I think this is a game worthy of being in the CV official time line and worth the money.

However, don't expect anything better than PoR cuz that was, for me anyway, a game with much higher replay value and better all around.
Why do I say this? It's cuz I hated Albus mode and without that, Ecclesia loses replay value somewhat but it's still a cool game nevertheless. What is keeping me busy lately is raising the attributes on the elements. What is this? Think of the sub-weapons in PoR (if you've played it) and you should know that you had to get them to "Master" for them to be even more powerful. Ecclesia has less attributes to deal with but each of them requires a lot of points to get to master though...
One thing you should know, this is a much tougher game but not impossible to beat (except maybe Albus mode) like DXC on PSP.

It is a great game. It has a rare female hero. You collect these glyph things and are able to use them. It's really bad a** if you ask me.

I think that I'll get a copy then

Make sure to tell us how it goes

Well for some reason I actually fell in love with this game. And how many points do you exactly need to master an attribute,? cause I have about 11k to most attributes??? confused
Well you know I think I have the best set up for boss smashing, and that is because most bosses are weak to the light so here it is

Glyphes-melio falcis, nitesco, sapiens fio
Equipment-royal crown, party dress, valkyrie graves, death ring, diamond ring

As long as you dont get hit the boss will usually go down in 5 or 6 hits, I actually almost killed the wallman with this set up.
