I'm just starting a new topic about your experience with pokemon on school.

I'm 17 years and already playing pokemon since it first came here (I was 11 or something). First pokemon was a hype, especially for kids of my age and thus it was very cool. But 1 year later it was not cool anymore but very childish. Nevertheless I kept enjoying pokemon (especially the TCG) and so kept playing it for years. Most of the time by myself until i found out there where tournaments. I went only to one tournament 3 years ago but since 2 years ago I go like 5 times a year. I was really enthousiast about it and some friends of me also began playing (again) for a while, 3 of them went with me to tournaments few times, one of them is still playing it and is quite good (well....not as good as me razz ). I never played pokemon against them on school but at school I was soon known as a pokemon player which didn't bother me at all.
There was also someone on school who played yugioh but didn't want his friends to know it but I learned to know him and he admired me for not shaming myself for pokemon. I also had some yugioh cards and i had some contacts so helped him get into the yugioh world a bit and went together with him and another friend to a yugioh tournament. The other friend was just like me playing for just 1 tournament for fun just to look how it is. And we practised on school which was lots of fun. I also played yugioh online with some guys from school, in the time it was free for a few moths. But sticked to pokemon offcourse, I think it's so much cooler.
This schoolyear just started but I already wrote something for school about the subject Pokemon and played a few times Pokemon TCG on school, again with other friends. It was very much fun. Pokemon TCG is still cool wink
Yeah Pokemon 4ever !!

ps. I'm not real good in english so hope you can understand it a bit razz

I still have nightmares about those kids in third grade who picked on me. It killed my self esteem! crying But i'm in 9th grade now and mostly gotten over it. My current friends and I have codenames for Pokemon and stuff and its very secretive. And its all because of how i was treated as a child.

I don't generally try to talk about it at school, as there isn't many people who still like it. Apparently someone at my school was playing Pokemon on his Iriver, and now I'm tempted to get an IRiver too. (I'm not quite sure about the capitalisation in that)

Oh, and by the way, I am back!

I do have a free period sometimes, so I bring my old GBC and Pokemon Red cartridge. I week ago, someone else brought in a GBC and Pokemon Yellow. He's either mocking me, or I've started a trend xd

My friend and I are like, the only Poke`mon fanatics in our age group. We sat next to each other in math class, so we'd pass notes talking about poke`mon and when we could trade next. It was fun...until the teacher almost failed us both, and we got in big trouble for passing the notes... confused

but, It was fun while it lasted... 3nodding

VERY few people like Pokemon at my school. Most make fun or it or think it's stupid. I don't watch the shows anymore, but I still play the games. The newest one I own would be Pokemon Emerald, which I only got this Sunday. It's weird, though. The only other person I know who still plays the games would be my b/f from schoo. Not to mention my best friend and her little sister.

I don't talk about it really, but pokemon got me into video games, so it has a meaning that is special to me, i dislike the cards, but will play the games whenever. My best friend is the only one that knows i like pokemon at my school, and he desn't care because he understands why i like pokemon... blaugh yeah for having a good friend blaugh
