I'm registering Dolly with the Palomino Horse Association (PHA), but I would much rather like to register her under something other than Dalonega, unless I have to since thats what is on her sales papers, I hate that name with a passion, and besides we call her Dolly anyway xX I can't come up with really any good names for her though, so could you guys help me? If at all possible I'd like 'Dolly' to be in her name so I can continue using it as her barn name. Here is a picture of her in case you need one to come up with something xD

Hmm I know someone with a horse called 'Babydoll' (which I dont paticularly like, bbut its personal prefernce). My friend has a andy/TB cross and her barn name is Diva, and she wanted a spanish sounding name so she called her 'Divadoro' haha. What kind of name are you looking for? A cute one? Classy? Long? One word? 2 or more words?

Dolly, you say? How 'bout Dalai Lama?
xd
Sorry. Gotta amuse myself somehow. Oh. Not helping. Gotcha.
Okay. Lemme think...too bad she's not a silver, you could call her Silver Dollar. Golden Dollar? Oh. Okay...sorry...still not helping.
I'll ask around for ideas, since I clearly can't come up with any.

Ooh I thought of one, all by myself 3nodding Okay it's not so good, but I've got to start somewhere (not counting the other attempts I've made). Dulce de Leche. You know the caramel thing...Dulce...Dolly...it works, right?
Then there's "Dolce Vita" that means sweet life.
Or something with "Idol" in it.
My sister (not a horse person) said "Dalmation!" Me: "What?" "It has spots! See?" *points to barrel* She also suggests some cliche with the word Dollar, like "Bet Your Bottom Dollar." Then she said "If you really like soap operas, you could call her Days of Our Lives aka DOL/Dolly." stressed

Yeah, my horse's barn name has NOTHING to do with his reg. name. Barn name: Squirty Registered Name: Assets Fancy Star rofl sweatdrop
You might want to find out what her sire and dam's names were and come up with something off of that! biggrin

These are the horsey's I know off the top of my head
C-W Ca'ts Pride And Joy = PJ C-W Pride Over Easy = Poe C-W Cat's Lucky Patches = Lucky Meganizer = Pickle Crescent Pixie = Pixie Crescent Merry Shocky = Boopie C-W Cassiopia = Cassie Crescent Baybob =Baybob C-W Halleiluyah Go Girl = GG C-W Prides Merry Little Man = Spike Mystic Night Vision = Mystic (Formally called Vision)

Or for example just name her something that has to do with Dolly. IE my horse's registered name is "Doves Design After Dark" but we all call him Beamer like a moon beam. Make sense?

So, did you ever come up with a registered name? Since this was a thread from last year, I wonder if we are commenting on something that is already done and over.
My few ideas:
Guys and Dolls China Doll Dollars from Dancing
But I agree, Barn names dont have to do anything with registered names. We have a few who do and a lot who dont. Actually we even show some of them under names that dont have anything to do with their registered names or barn names.
PS- The name of our stable is Stargate Stables, so all of our horses show names have Star in them.
Registered - Barn - Show
WhichiCaux - Whichi - Super Star Boldly Noted - Cino - Stargate's Mochacino Golden Swiss - Rocky - Rockstar Oz Silver Six Jet - Oz - Lonestar Mabel's Prospect - Belle - Starlight Poco's Zippy Arrow - Liebe - Shooting Star Sins of Bar - Mercutio - Allstar Arrows Buckshot - Buc - Starbuck B Shadow Dancin - Shad - Starburst Raffles Jazy Shado - Jazz - Star Dancer B My Dancin Butterfly - Fish - Starfish B My Starling - Ling - Starling (btw - a starling is a kind of bird) Unreg. - Ringo - Ringo Star Unreg. - Cody - Lucky Star Unreg. - Toby - Star Trek Unreg. - Star - Morning Star Unreg. - Rain - Rain of Stars
