Ya ever heard a song that for some reason the words can shake you to your very foundations? Has there ever been a song that has enough power in its sound, melody and meaning that could totally change the outcome of your day? post em here. Hell, If you can find the song on youtube or on a audio file, post it here too. Please give credit to the artist writing, and performing. here's a song performed by Johnny cash called 'God's gonna cut you down'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bzx2LGbMxiYI'm not christian but for some reason this song knocks me on my a**.

Lyrics never really send chills down my spine, it's usually the music which is suiting that I listen to Eurodance and Discotechque. When I listen to some songs the arrangement just makes me excited for no reason, just that it seems to have built up tension and you feel some kind of release... it sounds totally dirty but that's the way it feels. I'm currently listening to a remix of Kate Perry's I kissed a girl by Matt R and that's doing the trick!
Conclusion: Music, to me, is more effective than the actual lyrics.

Listen to The Smiths. I've probably said this before, but all of their songs have really meaningful and some disturbing lyrics. 'Meat is Murder' made me feel sick the first time that I heard it!

Try the massively emo band Slipknot.
Oh god, they scare me with their deathly screams and obsessive swearing. Thank god EDM was made.

Well, excuse you, I am a fan of Slipknot, thank you. xd Just kidding, but I really am a fan, and yeah, Slipknot is not someone to listen to when you're in the dark alone. Oh geez, there was a song I saw on a thread once and at the moment I can't remember its name. Alright, heres one that's lyrics are pretty freaky but when it is rapped, its not as creepy. And the version below is not edited. Gory Days by NECRO Although I am a fan, Marilyn Manson is also pretty creepy. Not so much the lyrics, but his voice and general appearance.

Wow, that was creepy. I seen all the 5 saw's and that didn't freak me out as much as this. But still, if I was inside a dark quiet room and I just heard Slipknot music come out of nowhere, I would defiantly s**t myself ^^
Why do death metal bands have to be so erm...deathly... its not healthy lol.

Rob Zombie is pretty much beast. Gackt's music makes my heart beat faster, too.

Nightmare is a J-metal band with some pretty have lyrics and a heavy guitar line. You don't have to speak Japanese to feel the impact of their lyrics. My favorite song is "Dirty". Music video

Johnny Cash - HurtThis is the song "Hurt" by Trent Reznor. It is being performed by Johnny Cash, the man in black. I don't know if you non-Americans have ever heard of him but he's pretty much a legend. I like his version of the song better than the original but both versions are great. the lyrics are pretty bitchin.

*slaps Phoenix's wrist* such language on my show...
But I do love Johnny Cash. I want a love like Johnny and June. Maybe a man in black will sweep me away in his nice car and we'll live happily together forever.
