I've been pretty bad lately. Actually, Horrible, to all Ranger fan's standards...
The last full series that I followed was Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta. I absolutely loved it!!! But, from there on, I barely watched anything more. Oh, I would watch the beginning of Operation Overdrive, a little of the middle, and the end. Then the beginning of Jungle Fury, and nothing more...
It's horrible! I used to do my best to watch as much as possible. Read up on it, keep track of what was going on. I had been doing that since eight years of age. And more so in my teenage years. Then, one day, BOOM! It is like I forgot.
Once I moved back home, I had to "turn off" my love for them. And I did. Why? I haven't a clue. Now, I see pictures of the newest series, and I do my darndest to remember what it was like, and my memories are scewed. I used to know the stories, the background, be able to debate Ranger talk with others and now, I feel like that I know nothing...
It's pathetic. I feel pathetic for being such a huge fan, and then one day, completely doing a 180 and not remembering that I was one...
Anyone experience this? I am trying to retreive those memories... Wow. I hope no one has to lose their memories like I did...
Oh, Zordon, is this what it is like living in a vacum?

Same here. It gets so corny sometimes, I can barely watch it. One thing I hate about it now is that it's so Red Ranger heavy lately. I remember if it's always been that way, but it doesn't feel right. I can only watch Power Rangers if I liked the Japanese season enough. Time Force was the most recent Ranger season I actually almost teared up on.

We just had someone on Rangerboard say that he's leaving there because he wants to "grow up". I have my own feeling about what happened with that but it made me realize how much I watch PR now. I'm suppose to do the podcasts with Lisa and Jer on No Pink Spandex and I really wonder sometimes if I should be on there anymore. It's so hard to watch the newer seasons. Jungle Fury wasn't bad but Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive were just......BAD! I told them that I barely watch a full episode anymore. I guess that I'm growing out of it now (although I have fanfic ideas up the waszo!) and I'm more of a classic Ranger fan now with the exception of Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder. Kalish really turned PR into something at I think most fans don't like now. He's basically trying to copy the Sentai which doesn't often work here in the US. Plus, most of the Rangers don't learn anything from one episode to the next which one thing that's drove me nuts. Hopefully next year will be better, cause I think Jungle Fury was the last season for Kalish.

After the last couple of seasons, I stopped caring about PR being owned by Disney. I'm starting to wish for a day where it just has a stirring plot. Is the monster-of-the-week formula starting to become just that for Power Rangers? Formulaic?

Luckily I have access to youtube now, and I have been catching up to RPM. I am in love again. Jungy Fury's first episode didn't pull me in. And I watched the first last, a few middle, and end episodes of OO, and that was it. Not much interest there...
Gosh RPM was good. I wish they continued with that scrypt writing team...except, why on earth do we not get explanations for their suits, and why their zords look mediocre?
They needed some of the old techies to retire...
