I was looking through the posts and I was surprised to find this not on the list of things we talk about and get off topic about. 3nodding Who else is on their guard's weaponline? Do you like it? Are you fricken' awesome?

I heart Rifle
But I didn't make it this year. The upside of this is that I'm a sophomore (only soph not on weapons) and now I'm better at flag than some of the juniors. Jen said not putting me on weapons this year was the best thing she could've done cause now I'm a flag diva and will definately be ready for weapons in winter and next fall.

I would die without my weapons. I love my sabre... and my rifle... *insert drooling emoticon that I need to make*.
I feel really lucky, too. I'm a soph and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be varsity weapons in winter and I'm on weapons right now in fall. I came in at a good time, most of the previous line was seniors and they graduated and I demonstrated enough "initiative, drive and talent" according to my coaches. So yay. I love weapons.

*tear* Well, cheerleaders might have a reason at my school...one of them did get smacked in the face at a pepe rally the day before homecoming... Rifle heart I love my rifle, even if he is short. (And yes, I frickin rock. I had my (rifle, blade, & hilt) six my junior year. 'Course, my whole guard (all 8 of us) rocked like that. Everyone had a 5, and 3 or 4 of us had 6s. Pwned)

I can't toss a rifle to save my life, but I love playing with sabres. I've never actually used one in a show, but we had a routine worked out for one of our songs last year using sabres. Too bad our BD didn't think we needed a fight scene there. (We did Pirates of the Carribbean. How can you NOT do a fight scene?!)

mistressofthelost I can't toss a rifle to save my life, but I love playing with sabres. I've never actually used one in a show, but we had a routine worked out for one of our songs last year using sabres. Too bad our BD didn't think we needed a fight scene there. (We did Pirates of the Carribbean. How can you NOT do a fight scene?!)

I know!!! There were at least two other bands at competition that had pirate shows. This year, there are tons of America-themed shows.

Woot wOOt!! Weapons rock. I wasnt a weapon till winterseason of my freshmore year. I would of been on weapon if I joined my frehman year of school. but whatever. Well to me only me and my friend Diana rock on weapon. We both are rifle. But for my I like both now with the work we got this year its awesome I love the sabre work. For fun we just huck and chuck a couple of days ago I tossed an 8. But with technique I can only get a 7 and a half! Both me and Diana made a promise to get at least seven's down on rifle! But enough of my ramblings...

I got my new rifle a few days ago! I finished taping it today. I had to go buy more tape. Everybody in the guard used a rifle during the marching season. This year in Winterguard, we're going to finally have two, a varsity and a JV team. YAY! It's gonna be really hard to get weaponline on Varsity.
